Google bans more right-wingers

Google blocked searches for dozens of conservative web sites yesterday.

Mediate:
A Tuesday incident in which certain websites briefly vanished from Google search results may have inadvertently exposed an internal list aimed at suppressing certain news outlets, a former engineer for the company said.
Since the blocked sites were politically conservative, it seems very likely to be a byproduct of Google keeping a blacklist of conservative sites, with possible use for manipulating the Fall election.
Dr. Robert Epstein, a researcher who has argued Google has the power to sway up to 10 percent of American voters in the 2020 election, concurred with Wacker. “It’s likely that a person or algorithm at Google added ‘breitbart.com’ and other URLs to one or more of the company’s blacklists,” Epstein said. “Then, perhaps after some pushback, someone pulled those URLs off the blacklists.”

Any manual manipulation would conflict with testimony Google CEO Sundar Pichai delivered to Congress in December 2018, when he told a House committee the company did not “manually intervene on any search result.”

In a jargon-filled statement, Google said it was looking into the issue, but failed to offer any explanation.
Google is very deceptive about manual interventions. Google certainly does keep secret lists of sites that are favored or disfavored, for various kinds of searches.

I think Google imported Pichai in order to implement an Indian caste system at Google.

This comes after Google has banned dozens of prominent YouTube personalities, such as Stefan Molyneux and Roosh V.

It is increasingly clear that the major tech platforms and payment processors are systematically censoring anyone sympathetic to Pres. Trump. With Trump trailing badly in the polls, they want to kill him off while they can. If Joe Biden is elected, we may never have free speech again.

There was a murder in the news, where a crazy anti-feminist went after a federal judge, after posting a lot of online rants. It is possible that Google was clumsily trying to block access to his rants, but I doubt it.

The Atlantic magazine reports on those rants:
Den Hollander, who was 72, held deeply misogynistic beliefs about women and filed a series of lawsuits against what he considered unfair advantages they had over men. One of those suits, in which he argued that it was unconstitutional for women not to be subject to military draft, reached Salas’s court in 2019.
I am not sure why that is "deeply misogynistic". We have a female Jewish Supreme Court justice who has made that same argument for years.

I found a couple of his rants here and here. I haven't read them.

The right-wing has become the pro-truth faction. The Left sees censorship as the only way to control the narrative.

Update: The Atlantic also says:
If you vote for Donald Trump, you are a racist. You have no wiggle room.
Over 60 million citizens voted for Trump. Of course it is also becoming conventional wisdom that (1) all Whites are racist; and (2) Whites are the least racist people in the world. So it is safe to say that everyone is racist!
