Maybe Individualism predated Christianity

I mentioned some historian criticism of the WIRED (or WEIRD, in the more pejorative form) theory of Western individualism, and here is a separate criticism:

As I note in the abstract, this contrasts with my recently published book Individualism and the Western Liberal Tradition: Evolutionary Origins, History, and Prospects for the Future, which proposes that Western individualism, as expressed in the characteristic European marriage system and in a plethora of other cultural expressions, is ultimately the outcome of selection in the ancestral environments of northern Europe and northern Eurasia more widely. This commentary highlights the historical evidence bearing on these alternative explanations for European exceptionalism. The main conclusion is that European individualism, as expressed in kinship structure and social organization, was firmly established before the advent of Christianity.  My paper has 4 sections:

1. Primordial Tendencies toward Western Individualism: the key issue is signs of individualism in the Indo-Europeans and Northern Hunter-Gatherers that make up the core populations of Western Europe.

2. Sources and Targets of Church Power, where the key issue is whether the Western European tradition of monogamy predated Church influence.

3. How Widespread Was Compliance with the Church’s Rules on Incestuous Marriage? A basic claim of Shulz et al. is that the Church eradicated widespread cousin marriage. I present the case that cousin marriage and clan-type social organization were never characteristic of the West.

4. The Geography of Church Influence. I show that Western individualism does not at all map onto the research on Western family history which shows that some areas of Western Europe long under Church influence (e.g., southern France) retained collectivist family patterns, while some areas of Western Europe that were Christianized late are the most individualistic (Scandinavia).

I am not sure about this. Scandanavia does not seem to individualistic to me. They are individualistic about some things, but not others.

Christendom was the result of (1) Christianity; (2) Greek and Roman civilizations; and (3) pre-Christian culture of Northern Europe. That last factor is harder to evaluate, because we do not have so many written records of it.

So when the Church eradicated clan-type social structure, was it following religious teaching or extending trends that pre-dated Christianity? I do not know how to answer that questions. I am not sure it matters. If millennia of development made the WIRED people different from the rest of the world, then that is a difference that will probably persist for a few more centuries. We need to understand it.

Update: Ricardo Duchesne writes, about Henrich's book:

This book offers a substantial answer to a question white identitarians are continually asking: why whites are allowing themselves to be replaced in their own homelands? Simply put, because whites are weirdly unattached to their own ethnic in-groups but believe instead that humans across the planet are just like them, individualistic, capable of impartiality, and fair play. Whites don't know what Henrich's book (implicitly) teaches: non-Weird people are nepotistic and highly biased towards their own ethnic in-groups.

He then goes on to discuss the role of 16th century Protestant literacy. Maybe that had a role in making Europeans different, or maybe Europeans were already different.

Family has to apologize for long dead man

Every once in a while, some celebrity says that the Jews control the news media, and then the Jews in the news media force him to apologize.

NPR Radio reports:

The family of children's book author Roald Dahl has issued a belated apology for his history of anti-Semitism.

"The Dahl family and the Roald Dahl Story Company deeply apologise for the lasting and understandable hurt caused by some of Roald Dahl's statements," read the comment on the official Dahl website.

The apology comes three decades after the British author's death in 1990. Over his nearly 50-year career, Dahl wrote such classic children's books as Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, and The BFG.

He also made some anti-Semitic comments.

In one example, in 1983 Dahl reportedly told Britain's New Statesman magazine that "there is a trait in the Jewish character that does provoke animosity. ... Even a stinker like Hitler didn't just pick on them for no reason."

That last statement is a historical fact. Hitler wrote a book about his reasons.

So some childrens book author was critical of Israeli war policy 30 years ago, and it is all over the news yesterday. Why?

Criticism of Israel's military policy comes mostly from leftists, not antisemites. Leftists and Arabs, I guess, and I don't know whether Arabs are considered antisemites.

Update: Coelsblog notes that the prevailing definition of anti-semitism is not a definition at all. And Islamophobia is also a propaganda word.

Historians criticize work on American traits

I mentioned the Joseph Henrich theory that Americans are psychologically superior to the rest of the world in March and September. He is a liberal Harvard professor, so I am sure that he would deny that he is a White supremacist, or even that he is defending a theory of genetic group differences.

So he doesn't say Whites are superior but that they

they exhibited a far greater "neurological and psychological" set of capacities for:

trust, fairness, honesty, and cooperation with anonymous others
patience and self control
time drift and hard work
reduced in-group nepotism
free will and the capacity to make its own decisions
analytical over holistic thinking
impartial principles and objectivity
original and nonconformist thinking?

For the sake of intellectual fairness, I am citing a historian essay critical of this work:

Deploying an influential social-scientific concept known as WEIRD (Western Educated Industrialized Rich Democratic), the article asserts that a distinctive Western psychology—one valuing agency, autonomy, and kindness toward strangers—explains the differential development trajectory of the West and the Rest. “The Church, Intensive Kinship, and Global Psychological Variation” tells a linear story of how Westerners became WEIRD. Beginning in the sixth century CE, when the medieval Church became “obsessed” with incest, the article adopts a claim made by the eminent social anthropologist Jack Goody: that European kinship was transformed in the post-Roman West when Church officials broadened incest prohibitions, discouraged remarriage and adoption, and thereby redirected the flow of property away from families into the Church, weakening kinship. Church authorities codified a prohibition on marriage extending to third and, later, to sixth cousins. Combined with the abolition of polygamy, this resulted in a decline of extended kin networks and the emergence of the monogamous nuclear family. The transformation of the incest prohibition by the Church, the authors conclude, created the foundation for individualism, civil society, and democracy. 

The Science team took Goody’s idea and performed a battery of statistical regressions to show that the intensity of WEIRD traits corresponds to the duration of a population’s exposure to western Christianity, as measured by the date of the foundation of Latin bishoprics: the longer the exposure, the stronger the WEIRD traits. This conclusion is reinforced with modern demographic and ethnographic data about rates of cousin marriage, followed by laboratory interviews with living subjects to gauge their WEIRD psychologies.

They don't really refute any of these findings, but argues that if some of their fellow leftist/woke historians had been on the team, they would have added context on colonialism, slavery, and Christian hegemony. They claim that the Catholic Church did not really have the power to ban all cousin marriages. In particular, some royal cousins still got married. So did some plantation owners in the Old South.

Yes, no doubt about that. The weakness of this criticism only convinces me of the robustness of Henrich's thesis. No one disputes that the WEIRD traits make American Whites different from most of the world, and that these are deep structural differences that will not go away easily.

Nobody wants to talk about whether they are genetic differences. I presume that Henrich refuses to say.

I don't see how it can be anything but genetic. If these were merely the behavioral changes induced by the Catholic Church a millennium ago, how could they possibly persist today? Most Americans today are not Catholic, and those who are do not adhere to Medieval customs.

If genetic, maybe they should be called WIRED traits, for western, industrialized, rich, educated, and democratic. The traits appear to be hard-wired into the genes of White Americans.

Drug companies manipulated the election

Before the election, Pres. Trump told us that COVID-19 vaccines were coming this year. The press said that he was lying. We now know that he was telling the truth. We would have known before the election, but Pfizer and Moderna delayed the news. The NY Times reports:

Mr. Trump’s anger about the timing has not abated. In a news conference on Friday, he suggested Pfizer and other drugmakers had taken revenge on him for pushing drug price controls.

“They were going to come out in October, but they decided to delay it because of what I’m doing,” he grumbled. “They waited and waited and waited.”

As the article details, Trump was completely correct. The drug companies were on an approved timetable for releasing the info, but they asked for, and obtained, permission to delay the announcement until after the election. Stock market analysts deduced that the companies were hiding poor results. We now know that the results were better than expected. When Pfizer was ready to announce the good results, it secretly tipped off the Biden campaign, and Trump had to read about it in the newspapers.

This election manipulation was vastly more damaging than anything the Russians did in 2016.

And of course Google, Facebook, newspapers, TV, etc were all heavily biased against Trump. I don't know how anyone could think this was a fair election.

You could say that the FDA is managed by Trump appointees, and that he could have had his appointees force the drug companies to honestly follow the protocol before the election. Yes, that is true. Unfortunately, 4 years was not enough time to drain the swamp, and the federal govt is filled with employees who actively undermine the administration.

If Trump were really the authoritarian that his enemies say, then he would have forced the drug companies to behave.

The major news media continue to describe the election contest inaccurately. They always say that Joe Biden is the President-elect, that he won the election, and that there is no evidence of anything wrong with the election. In fact the electoral votes have not been decided yet, and there are hundreds of examples of election irregularities. While it is true that the courts have not been persuaded to reverse the certifications, there is certainly evidence.

The courts are not really the ones to decide on the evidence anyway. As I pointed out, federal law requires electors to be appointed on election day. That did not happen in the swing states.

Federal law then requires:

Whenever any State has held an election for the purpose of choosing electors, and has failed to make a choice on the day prescribed by law [Nov. 3, this year], the electors may be appointed on a subsequent day [such as now!] in such a manner as the legislature of such State may direct. [3 US Code 2]

The legislatures are probably not going to act, but they can and should, and Biden is not the President-elect until the electors meet and vote.

Develop some disease and resign

I said that Joe Biden was a puppet, and now the Daily Caller reports:

Biden told CNN Anchor Jake Tapper on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” that working with Harris hasn’t held “any surprise” since they’ve previously spoken about it. Biden told Tapper “I understand how campaigns can sometimes get a little out of wack a little bit” and he said he doesn’t “hold grudges.”

“So I don’t have — when we disagree, it will be just like — so far it’s been just like Barack and I did. It’s in private. She’ll say I think we should do A, B, C, or D. And I’ll say I like A, don’t like B and C. And let’s go okay,” Biden said.

“And like I told Barack, if I read something where there’s a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign,” Biden told Tapper.

I am going to take this as a joke, altho I watched the video, and he prefaces his remarks with "All kidding aside."

It is hard to imagine any recent President even thinking these thoughts. I am not just referring to the disease and resign sentence. Before that, he says that he will take orders from Harris, just as he took orders from Obama. I am surprised that Biden is even aware enough to recognize the plan -- he will develop some disease and resign. In the meantime, he takes orders on A, B, C, and D.

No one needed net neutrality

TechDirt reports:

The report found that U.S. broadband speeds -- historically the poster child for mediocrity -- jumped roughly 90% during the COVID-19 lockdowns. ...

Yes, the study shows U.S. broadband speeds jumped 90% in 2020. But Buck also notes this likely isn't because of policy decisions at the FCC, or because ISPs did much of anything differently. It's most likely because when consumers were forced to stay home to work and attend school during COVID lockdown, they were simply willing to pay more money for already available, faster speeds because they realized faster broadband was essential.

A couple of years ago, Google and other monopolists were complaining that the FCC was abolishing net neutrality, and horrible things were going to happen.

Well, the ISPs did not do anything horrible, and people are not getting better service.

On another matter, Google has fired an Ethiopian woman working on ethical AI. It appears that she made too many diversity demands. She was one of those saying that police should not use face recognition because it identifies white men better than black women. She also appears to have an attitude problem, and probably thought that she could not be fired because she is a black African woman.

The post-Trump sellout of American workers has begun, as the US Senate just unanimously voted to drasticly increase programs of importing foreign workers to replace Americans. The Trump DoJ sued Facebook over abusing the program, and displacing Americans, but the Biden administration will probably drop the suit.

The Legacy of George Floyd

The George Floyd hoax continues to destroy fine cities. RT reports:

Minneapolis has suffered a surge in crime that has coincided with a severe shortage of police officers. Undeterred, City Council members want to make further cuts to law enforcement.

Police have registered a 537-percent increase in violent carjackings in the city compared with last November, the local Star Tribune reported. More than 125 such crimes have been recorded over the past two months, with three separate carjackings reported within a one-hour period on Saturday morning. One of the victims, an elderly woman, was struck on the head by her assailants.

“The numbers are staggering,” a Minneapolis police spokesperson told the paper. “It defies all civility and any shred of common human decency.”

Authorities have blamed the crime wave on “small groups of marauding teens,” but acknowledged that adults have also been arrested in connection to the string of carjackings. The surge in this type of attack has prompted the city’s police force to create a new coding system to help keep track of the criminal acts. The spree of carjackings isn’t the only public safety crisis facing the city: An analysis by the Star Tribune in September found that violent crimes – including homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assaults – were up 17 percent from the previous five-year average for this period....

Despite the crime surge and personnel shortage, a trio of City Council members, including Council President Lisa Bender, have submitted a proposal that would cut the Minneapolis police budget by nearly $8 million.

Paul Krugman writes:

When Joe Biden is inaugurated, he will immediately be confronted with an unprecedented challenge — and I don’t mean the pandemic, although COVID-19 will almost surely be killing thousands of Americans every day. I mean, instead, that he’ll be the first modern U.S. president trying to govern in the face of an opposition that refuses to accept his legitimacy.

Wow. His newspaper, the NY Times, probably printed 1000 stories saying George W. Bush and Donald Trump were not legitimate.

The schools have gone nuts with George Floyd nonsense:

In dramatic, urgent language, K-12 schools across the country – both public and private – professed solidarity with Black Lives Matter and vowed to dismantle white supremacy, as they scrambled to introduce anti-racist courses and remake themselves into racism-free zones.

The president of the Lower Merion School Board on Philadelphia’s affluent Main Line declared to families: “We need to eradicate white supremacy and heteropatriarchy in all of our institutions.”

In Maine, a coastal public school district where 3.7% of the 2,100 students are African American or Hispanic, the superintendent declared war on “the intentional barriers white people have built to harm Black people.” The top administrator added: “We grieve for all of the Black lives taken by white supremacy.”

This is going to backfire. Eventually those schoolkids are going to discover that Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, and that anyone who even uses the word heteropatriarchy is an enemy of civilization.

Gendering Animals

From an academic paper on Gendering Animals:

When feminists first adopted the sex/gender distinction in the 1960s and 1970s it formed the keystone in their theoretical framework. In a social context where it was typically assumed that the social and political differences between the sexes found in practically every part of daily life were the result of natural, essential, biological sex differences, the idea that many of these differences were, in fact, socially constructed gender differences offered hope of subverting patriarchy.

The article is not a joke.

It says that boys have higher bone mineral density in the lower back than girls, except that it is the other way around for ultra-Orthodox Jewish adolescents. Weird.

Wikipedia has already rewritten its pages on Ellen Page, the actress who starred in the 2007 movie Juno:

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film four stars and called it "just about the best movie of the year. ... Has there been a better performance this year than Elliot Page's creation of Juno? I don't think so."

No, Ebert never mentioned "Elliot Page".

Juno was an anti-man movie, as was her previous movie. It is funny for an actress famous for anti-man roles would suddenly call herself a man. She has said that she was a lesbian, and married to a woman. But now lesbians are extinct, and she is a man, so I guess she is heterosexual. Or maybe her sex is still female and her gender is male, I am not sure.

This should help everyone get ready for the Biden administration. The stock exchange is getting ready:

Nasdaq would require all companies listed on the exchange to publicly disclose consistent, transparent diversity statistics about their board of directors. It would require those companies to have, or explain why they don't have, at least two diverse directors. This includes having one board member who self-identifies as female and one who self-identifies as either an underrepresented racial minority or LGBTQ.

If Ellen Page were on a company board, she would be not so diverse. She is now Elliot, a man, and no longer self-identifying as female. She is not a racial minority, and she no longer identifies as a lesbian. Possibly she identifies as trans, but it is not clear, as maybe she is just a man. If she is trans, is she transsexual or transgender? Those are different, since sex and gender are different. My guess is that her sex is still female, but her gender is now declared to be male. I doubt that she has the fake male organ surgery, after playing a sadistic castrator in a movie, so I do not know whether she would qualify as a Nasdaq diversity choice.

Here is a weak attempt to rationalize a sex difference:

“Can men be victims and women perpetrators? Yes of course,” she says. “But if you define domestic violence saying anyone can be a victim or perpetrator, it ignores that women are disproportionately victimised and men are disproportionately the perpetrator. If you come at if from a gender-neutral angle you will never change it. It's like hitting a pool ball at the wrong angle - it goes into a pocket but the wrong one.”

I will remember that excuse, the next time I get accused of sexism. I will just say, “it goes into a pocket but the wrong one.”

College says "not racism" is racist

The new vice-provost, who is empowered to speak on the university’s behalf, recently hosted a talk entitled “The racist violence of ‘not racism’ and the role of ‘contrarian’ academics,” in which bizarre assertions were made to the effect that we all inhabit an apparently irredeemable state of racism. e dean deemed the applicant pool insufficiently diverse. I have seen discussions quashed when faculty members questioned the affirmative-action requirements imposed by government research granting agencies. Emails asking for details regarding an across-the-board salary increase for all female faculty members fell on deaf ears. We have entrance scholarships for “Diversity Champions” to encourage women, minorities, and activists to join our programs. We have prestigious chairs in “indigenous ways of knowing” in certain sciences—which everyone involved knows to be a fundamentally unscientific endeavour, even if we all have to pretend otherwise.

Of note, we have created a position for a Vice-Provost for Equity and Diversity, an enviable position, which, I am informed, comes with a six-figure salary (well above that of your average professor). ...

The new vice-provost, who is empowered to speak on the university’s behalf, recently hosted a talk entitled “The racist violence of ‘not racism’ and the role of ‘contrarian’ academics,” in which bizarre assertions were made to the effect that we all inhabit an apparently irredeemable state of racism. ...

This moment is driven by emotion and social panic, not facts.

There is nothing unusual about his opinions, and yet this professor at a respected university has to hide behind anonymity!

He doesn't want to be ostracized like this UChicago professor. Fortunately for him, the university came to his defense, but the hassle of speaking up is not worth it.

We have gotten to the point where any White professor, who claims to be not racist, is branded a racism for not recognizing his own racism.

According to this historical analysis, one of the motivations for women's suffrage was a racist attempt to dilute Black votes. So maybe undoing racism requires denying the vote to women? Okay, no one is going to advocate that, but it is no sillier than other attempts to undo racism.

Jewish Trump-hater NY Times columnist David Brooks writes:

Many people point to the internet — the way it funnels people into information silos, the way it abets the spread of misinformation. I mostly reject this view. Why would the internet have corrupted Republicans so much more than Democrats, the global right more than the global left?

The internet has corrupted Democrats into believing all sorts of crazy things: Russian conspiracies, coronovirus hysteria, global warming crisis, systemic racism, etc.

Under Trump, the Republican identity is defined not by a set of policy beliefs but by a paranoid mind-set.

No, Democrats are the paranoid ones. They are the ones who wear masks all the time, and are afraid to travel or re-open schools.

What to do? You can’t argue people out of paranoia. If you try to point out factual errors, you only entrench false belief. The only solution is to reduce the distrust and anxiety that is the seedbed of this thinking. That can only be done first by contact, reducing the social chasm between the members of the epistemic regime and those who feel so alienated from it. And second, it can be done by policy, by making life more secure for those without a college degree.

This is so foolish that it is hard to believe Brooks is serious. I have several college degrees, and the more I read the NY Times, the more I distrust everyone having anything to do with that paper. Many people have pointed out factual errors to Brooks, but he has a policy of never correcting his errors. The NY Times also does not correct errors by columnists. He lives in a bubble, impervious to the facts. He manages to stay on the payroll because he has convinced his editors that he understands Trump voters. He does not.

I mention that Brooks is Jewish because he describes and promotes a very Jewish ideal of how knowledge is to be controlled. In this view, a bunch of rabbis are allowed to have heated arguments about what is right, but when they come to a consensus, no alternate views are allowed. Here is how he describes it, citing some gay Jewish atheist:

My analysis begins with a remarkable essay that Jonathan Rauch wrote for National Affairs in 2018 called “The Constitution of Knowledge.” Rauch pointed out that every society has an epistemic regime, a marketplace of ideas where people collectively hammer out what’s real. In democratic, nontheocratic societies, this regime is a decentralized ecosystem of academics, clergy members, teachers, journalists and others who disagree about a lot but agree on a shared system of rules for weighing evidence and building knowledge.

This ecosystem, Rauch wrote, operates as a funnel. It allows a wide volume of ideas to get floated, but only a narrow group of ideas survive collective scrutiny. “We let alt-truth talk,” Rauch said, “but we don’t let it write textbooks, receive tenure, bypass peer review, set the research agenda, dominate the front pages, give expert testimony or dictate the flow of public dollars.”

I am expecting the internet censorship to get a whole lot worse under the Biden administration.

Why President Trump is hated

From his inaugural address, Jan. 20, 2017:

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now.

You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction: that a nation exists to serve its citizens.

This is why the lizard people hate Donald Trump.

The hatred is not so much for him personally. He is like Ronald Reagan, in this respect. His enemies found him likeable as a person, but they despised what he represented.

The people they truly hate are the ones Trump refers to above.

Death causes are misattributed to COVID-19

I posted some CDC COVID-19 data, and argued there are hardly any excess deaths. A Johns Hopkins newsletter makes a similar point, archived here. The article has been retracted because it was being "used to support dangerous inaccuracies that minimize the impact of the pandemic." It said:

When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. As Briand compared the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018, she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph below, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes.

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, as depicted in the table below, the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.

I don't want to support dangerous inaccuracies, so I link to the Johns Hopkins rebuttal, just as I linked to the CDC rebuttal before.

So read both, and you will see that there is no disagreement about the underlying data. 262k+ deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, but the CDC only gets to that number by drastically reducing the number of other deaths.

To accept those numbers, you have to believe that we have had a sudden decrease in heart disease deaths that magically matches an increase in COVID-19 deaths. And you have to believe that flu, influenza, and related diseases have magically disappeared from the population.

You might think that no one gets the flu anymore because everyone is wearing masks. If that were true, that would be a gigantic public health breakthru. Health officials would be bragging about it. They don't. They don't say anything about the flu.

What they do say is that COVID-19 has killed 262k+ people, almost entirely old people with multiple other comorbidities. This artfully conceals the fact that most of them are dying of heart disease or some other disease of the elderly, and the deaths are being labeled COVID-19. They don't want to say it that way, because of a belief that the truth would undermine public policies for masks, social distancing, lockdowns, and electing Joe Biden.

It is probably that the lockdowns have done more harm than good. See this list of scientific papers documenting the lockdown harms.

If you think that I am wrong here, then tell me how this pandemic is any different from a bad flu season? The virus spreads like the flu. It causes symptoms like the flu. It responds to medicines like the flu. It has replaced the seasonal flu, just as each year's flu strain replaces the previous one. And the death totals, if you include all causes to as to be more objective, are barely any different from a bad flu outbreak.

You might say, "But there are differences. Flu peaks in wintertime. COVID-19 is more contagious." These are minor difference. This disease should have been called the Wuhan flu.

Pope praises female leaders

The Tablet, a British Catholic magazine, reports:

Pope Francis says countries with female leaders have handled the Covid-19 pandemic better than others and that he has increased the number of women in decision making roles in the Vatican because they are “much better administrators than men”.

This Pope has said so many wacky and stupid things that I suspect that he is an impostor.

Another religion with troubles:

Those who have read my book, The Sword of Christ, will be familiar with the spectacular collapse of that last bastion of Christian Biblical orthodoxy, the Southern Baptist Convention, into Satanic Jewish Leftism. The SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, led by the snake Russell Moore, was the vehicle through which much of this subversion was made. Though Christian Zionists captured the Southern Baptists long ago, the Convention continued for decades to held the line on traditional social issues and, with only a few exceptions, refrained from demonizing its almost wholly White congregants.

That changed during the past decade, with a sharp acceleration after the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally. Russell Moore led the charge. The Southern Baptists are now in the process of renaming themselves the “Great Commission Baptists,” a decision that Convention President J.D. Greear declared is “essential” to supporting Black Lives Matter. Greear also took it upon himself to insist that “Our Lord Jesus was not a White Southerner but a brown-skinned Middle Eastern refugee.”

New documents reveal Moore and the rest of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, to be hired guns directed by the prominent international Jews George Soros and Paul Singer.

Apparently they are dropping the word "Southern" because of its association with slavery. They could probably find objections to all the other compass directions also.

For a while I thought that Jordan Peterson might start his own religion, as he had developed a huge cult following. But he has fallen on hard times, and now his innocuous advice book might get canceled.

Speaking of religious differences, here is a George Soros article attacking Hungary and Poland, along with Viktor Orban reply:

The differences between us are obvious. Soros wants an open society, while we want a safe society. According to him, democracy can only be liberal, while we think it can be Christian. According to him, freedom can only serve self-realization, while we believe that freedom can also be used to follow the teachings of Christ, to serve one’s country, and to protect our families. The basis of Christian freedom is the freedom to decide. This is now in jeopardy.

We in the eastern part of the EU know very well what it means to be free. The history of the nations of Central Europe has been a relentless struggle for freedom against great empires, a repeated battle to win our right to decide our own destinies. We have bitter first-hand experience that every imperial endeavor brings enslavement.

The lizard people hate Hungary and Orban for these opinions.

Election day law was violated

I mentioned that Joe Biden stole this election. I haven't been able to assess all the allegations, but here are a couple of laws.

Federal election law states:

The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President.

So each state's electors were supposed to be appointed on Nov. 3. On that day, and that day only.

As I read this, there should be no early or late voting, and no late counting. Nov. 3 is election day. All popular votes should be cast and counted on that day. The Electoral College acts later.

Millions of votes were collected before Nov. 3, and millions more were counted afterwards. They should not count. They are contrary to this federal law.

The Pennsylvania constitution says:

§ 14. Absentee voting.
(a) The Legislature shall, by general law, provide a manner in which, and the time and place at which, qualified electors who may, on the occurrence of any election, be absent from the municipality of their residence, because their duties, occupation or business require them to be elsewhere or who, on the occurrence of any election, are unable to attend at their proper polling places because of illness or physical disability or who will not attend a polling place because of the observance of a religious holiday or who cannot vote because of election day duties, in the case of a county employee, may vote, and for the return and canvass of their votes in the election district in which they respectively reside.

As I read this, absentee or mail-in votes in Penn. should be the exceptions, and only allowed in the narrow circumstances specified: inability to vote in person because of illness, disability, observance of religious holiday, or election day duties.

Penn. allowed millions of mail-in votes by citizens who had none of those excuses. They could have voted in person, but they mailed in a ballot instead. Such a ballot does not comply with Penn. law, and should not be counted.

It is clear now that Donald Trump won the big majority of the valid votes cast on election day. Biden is only be certified by counting dubious ballots that do not comply with election law or how elections have been traditionally been done in the USA. The dubious procedures allowed Democrat operatives to pressure votes from those who normally do not vote and may not even pay any attention to politics.

Black Lives Matter at Holocaust Museum

Jewish News reports:

An American Holocaust Museum has opened an exhibition about the death of George Floyd.

The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center in Florida, established to educate future generations about the Nazi extermination of six million Jews during the Second World War, is housing a collection of 45 photographs of individuals reacting to killing of Mr Floyd, the African American choked to death by white police officer in Minneapolis earlier this year.

The exhibition is entitled Uprooting Prejudice: Faces of Change, and features images by Minneapolis photographer John Noltner. One portrait features the father of Michael Brown Jr, who was shot dead by a policeman in Missouri in 2014.

Two Black guys die. One died of a fentanyl overdose, and the other was shot was he was trying to kill a cop. Just like the Jewish Holocaust, I guess. Some ethnic whines endlessly about perceived wrongs.

For the uninitiated, a Kafka trap is a question that is asked that does not have a good answer. The goal of this trap is for the person asking the question to get the person being questioned to incriminate themselves. It's a very dirty trick. The situation with the Florida Holocaust Center feels like a similar situation. There is an obvious cultural statement that the political left wants to make, and they want anyone who criticizes it to look bad while they do it.

The purpose of having a George Floyd tribute inside of a Holocaust museum is to compare what happened to Floyd to the brutality of the Nazi regime. To the sensible person, there can be an agreement that George Floyd did not have to die. However, comparing what happened to him to the horrors of Bergen-Belsen or Auschwitz is beyond absurd. The absurdity is why they do it.

Sure, Floyd could have been a law-abiding citizen, and lived a healthy normal long life.

Meanwhile, Jews complain that Facebook is not censoring enough:

Last month, Facebook announced a crackdown: The platform would no longer permit content that “denies or distorts the Holocaust” as part of its larger policy prohibiting hate speech. ...

“Holocaust denial, whether on Facebook or elsewhere, is most effective when the deniers mix enough factual material into their arguments to confuse readers (including content moderators) or obfuscate their core beliefs,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). “Others have become adept at communicating with codewords to avoid detection by content moderators. This underscores the importance of high-quality training for both human moderators and detection algorithms.”

In order words, Holocaust Deniers post historical facts, and nobody realizes that they are on a Jewish hate list.

So far, half of Joe Biden's announced appointments have been Jews. Maybe 5 out of 8, if you count John Kerry. The rest are Blacks and women. The one White male is Jake Sullivan. I don't know anything about him, but I am sure he is controlled by the puppetmasters. All of Biden's kids married Jews, and Kamala Harris is married to a Jew. Donald Trump was a very pro-Jewish and pro-Israel President, but it appears that Jews will have even more influence on the Biden administration.

LGBT Conversion Therapy Legalized in Florida

Jonathan Adler reports:

Attempting to "cure" a gay or transgender minor via conversion therapy counts as protected First Amendment speech and can't simply be banned by ordinances, a federal appeals court ruled today.

LGBT activists and psychological experts have been targeting conversion therapy as a fraudulent practice that harms children for years. Some states have begun banning the treatment, starting with New Jersey and California in 2013. Now, it's forbidden in 20 states, and several cities and counties have passed their own laws against it. ...

The ruling also creates a circuit court split. In 2013, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled that California's law banning conversion therapy for minors did not violate the First Amendment. That court accepted the argument that the state was regulating conduct, not speech, and therefore subjected the law to a lower level of scrutiny than the 11th Circuit. And so this debate over whether conversion therapy is a form of protected speech may ultimately end up before the Supreme Court.

There are two issues here -- the free speech issue, and the underlying medical and scientific merits.

When these laws were pushed thru, the leftists who control the psychiatry and psychology professions argued that the therapies in question do not work. But in their testimony, they were unable to identify any other psycho therapy that works any better!

There is also huge controversy over Abigail Shrier's new book:

Thousands of teen girls across the Western world are not only self-diagnosing with a real dysphoric condition they likely do not have; in many cases, they are obtaining hormones and surgeries following the most cursory diagnostic processes. Schoolteachers, therapists, doctors, surgeons, and medical-accreditation organizations are all rubber-stamping these transitions, often out of fear that doing otherwise will be reported as a sign of “transphobia” — despite growing evidence that most young people who present as trans will eventually desist, and so these interventions will do more harm than good.

Again we have a situation where a leftist, atheist, Jewish-dominated, free-will-denying profession seeks control over everyone else.

PBS TV just broadcast a show on LGBTQ foster kids have a harder time finding permanent homes. This is really sick. And the Boy Scouts are running out of cash, due to LGBTQ litigation. It was once a fine organization, and it has been destroyed by leftists.

. And again, these issues are not being argued on the medical or scientific merits, because none of that would every justify sex-change surgery on teenaged girls. This is ideological destruction based on religious beliefs.

The election was stolen

That is the conclusion of 61% of Republicans, and even 39% of Democrats are not sure. Reuters interviewed 50 people in various states who voted for Trump. All 50 believe that Trump legitimately won, but the election was rigged.

Our basic election law says:

The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President.

There is general agreement that Pres. Trump won a majority of the votes cast on election day, and he led in the counts that were reported that evening.

But they they stopped the count in the swing states, and then somehow found millions of suspicious Biden votes.

The official explanation is that the rules had to be changed because of COVID-19, and votes collected on days other than the election day specified by federal law. But this is obviously a hoax, as there are no reports of anyone being infected at a polling place. Tens of millions of people voted in person, without any problem.

Everything about this election was suspicious. Millions of people obviously enthusiastically support Donald Trump, and appreciate his outstanding record as President. I cannot find one single person who thinks that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are competent for the job. They both did poorly in the primaries, until one day the lizard people announced that Biden was the only one who can defeat Sanders and then Trump. Then everyone endorsed Biden and his rivals dropped out of the race. The lizard people then told Biden that his best chance was to hide out in his basement, and let them run his campaign.

And so it went. The strongest endorsements for Biden would just say that he listens to experts, and is not Trump. In other words, he is controlled by the lizard people, and Trump is not. Some leftists liked his extreme leftist policy positions on his web site, while some centrists were reassured that he has no history of such extreme positions and is probably too senile to understand them.

So now we are supposed to accept Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada blatantly violating election laws, a 78-year-old senile puppet as President, and a VP who does not even meet the constitutional requirement of being a natural born citizen.

Nope. Those states should run a clean and legitimate election, or forfeit their electoral votes.

There were reports that in 1960, Chicago held up its vote count until it saw how many votes were needed by JFK. Here we are in 2020, and Detroit, Atlanta, and a couple of other cities did the same thing. Those cities should not get any votes, if they cannot report them on election day like everyone else.

It appears that the lizard people are going to get away with this, and install Biden in the White House. Then they will treat the Trump administration like China treats the Tiananmen Square protests. They will institutionalize restrictions so that no one will even be able to talk about doing anything like that again.

Left claims White people have no culture

This essay seems ridiculous, but I have seen versions of these ideas in many places.

Woke essay:

“White people have no culture.”

This is partially true. It is also untrue. This statement is a form of denial, and also a source of grief.

White people do have culture. Our culture is that of colonization. Of genocide. Of taking. Of envy and of fear. The majority of white people can name no more than two generations back in their families. The majority of white people barely know where their grandparents were from, much less who their ancestors were. The majority of white people have no traditions, and the ones we have, are rooted in consumption and the superficial application of organized religion, both of which are steeped in histories of violence. Christmas is about a severed tree ...

The closest thing white people have to culture is our disturbingly fanatical obsession with sports, which we use to justify things like property destruction, vitriolic hatred for people we don’t know, and even accidental deaths. ...

Which brings me to my main point: The culture of white people is the culture of death. It is a culture of endless war, desensitization to human suffering, and the upholding of a brutal individualism fueled by greed. It is a deep, dark hole of grief and of loss. We don’t even know what we lost. We don’t know our ancestors. We don’t have stories of creation and hope and family; only stories of destruction and genocide.

This is so silly that it seems like a joke.

Yes, Whites invented sports. The whole concept of organized athletic competition, played under a written rule book, appears to have originated entirely with Whites, and copied by non-whites all over the world.

This is just a trivial part of White culture. The world has copied many other aspects of White culture, including science, law, literature, music, entertainment, and religion. White culture is so universally regarded as great that people don't even think about it.

The essay does have a point that Whites do not have the sort of tribal identifications that are so common in the rest of the world. This underlies White Fragility, where Whites are often baffled as to why anyone would call them racist. Whites are the least racist people in the world. Most other people have a much stronger attachment to the people of their ancestry, and much greater hostility towards foreign tribes.

Sam Harris is a mindless automaton

Sam Harris has posted another podcast rant on how much he hates Donald Trump. He has done this dozens of times.

The funny thing is that these rants have no substantive criticism of Trump's performance in office or his policies. They are just name-calling, based on an emotional reaction to Trump's personality. Harris has an extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Harris denies it in the podcast, but obviously his friends have told him that he has it.

Harris is a leftist atheist Jew, who preaches his own brand of Buddhism. He would never vote Republican, but he actually agrees with Trump on guns, foreign policy, Islam, Atifa, free speech, cancel culture, and many other topics.

I am beginning to think that the key to understanding Harris, and others like him, is the issue of free will. Harris argues against free will, and wrote a whole book on it.

After listening to many of his podcasts, I believe that he does not have free will. He would vote for Trump if he did. He is working for a broad leftist consensus on many issues, and then he is happy for others and himself to go along with the consensus, without any voluntary choice.

When Harris attacks Trump, it is based on elaborate theories about hypothetical mental processes going on inside Trump's head. In short, mindreading.

I used to think Harris's religion was Buddhism, because he promoted meditation a lot. But really it is his theory of mind. He has a faith-based set of beliefs that guide everything he says.

Harris is smart enough to realize that he is a slave if he has no free will and Trump does. Trump's ability to do as he pleases, without following the Leftist consensus, drives Harris nuts.

This attitude is common among Jews. They hate it when anyone goes against the Leftist consensus.

Listening to Harris is like listening to a preacher ranting about how Trump is going to Hell. It is just a religious belief that has no bearing on whether he is a good President. The preacher does not know who is really going to Hell, and Harris has no mindreading skills.

The free will question extends to a lot of other political issues. A right-winger might think that it is fair to punish a criminal, because he chose crime. A leftist free will denier might say that the criminal deserves to be treated the same as every other human.

A right-winger might prefer low taxes so that people can spend their own money as they choose. A leftist might think choice is impossible, and so it is better for the state to control everyone's finances.

I used to think that it is obvious that everyone believes in free will, because everyone talks about making choices. Listening to Harris has convinced me otherwise. He does not have free will, and very much resents those who do.

Nobody talks about free will as a political issue. It sounds crazy to say that Harris is a mindless automaton. But it explains his philosophy perfectly, and he himself has written and lectured extensively on how he does not have free will. It is quite obviously at the core of his deepest beliefs.

Here is another example. Why would Democrats favor mask mandates, and Republicans not?

Democrats claim to be following the science, but that is plainly not true:

A large-scale study in Denmark that sought to determine if masks help stop the spread of Covid-19 has been rejected by several prestigious journals. The authors hinted that their findings were inconvenient to the status quo.

The Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the American Medical Association Journal all turned down the paper, Danish media reported on Thursday.

The study, which began in late April, involved 6,000 Danes, half of whom were asked to wear masks at all times in public places. The other half were selected as a control group and were instructed not to cover their faces. After a month, participants were tested for Covid-19 as well as for antibodies against the virus.

The study’s researchers have remained tight-lipped about their findings, but they’ve dropped plenty of clues that suggest it was the paper’s conclusion, not its methodology, that led to the journals’ rejections.

The paper has now been published, and showed that Danes who were randomly assigned to wear masks were just about as likely to get COVID-19 as those who did not.

The difference is that those who believe in free will also believe in the personal autonomy to carry out those choices. Others believe in conforming to a Leftist consensus, whether it makes any sense or not.

Even a Jewish NY Times columnist complains:

What, today, is leftism, at least when it comes to intellectual life? Not what it used to be. Once it was predominantly liberal, albeit with radical fringes. Now it is predominantly progressive, or woke, with centrist liberals in dissent. Once it was irreverent. Now it is pious. Once it believed that truth was best discovered by engaging opposing points of view. Now it believes that truth can be established by eliminating them. Once it cared about process. Now it is obsessed with outcomes. Once it understood, with Walt Whitman, that we contain multitudes. Now it is into dualities: We are privileged or powerless, white or of color, racist or anti-racist, oppressor or oppressed.

The list goes on. But the central difference is this: The old liberal left paid attention to complexity, ambiguity, the gray areas. A sense of complexity induced a measure of doubt, including self-doubt. The new left typically seeks to reduce things to elements such as race, class and gender, in ways that erase ambiguity and doubt. The new left is a factory of certitudes.

The Left has been taken over by groupthink. I think that free will denial is at the root of it.

Pres. Biden will be appointing freaks like this to high-level positions.

This nuttiness is all over the schools. Megyn Kelly pulled her kids out of NYC schools because the administrators sent out a letter saying:

Where’s the urgency for school reform for white kids being indoctrinated in black death and protected from the consequences? ... This time if you really want to make a difference in black lives — and not have to protest this shit again — go reform white kids. Because that’s where the problem is — with white children being raised from infancy to violate black bodies with no remorse or accountability.

No, white kids are not taught to violate black bodies. Just the opposite. Most of the interracial crimes are by blacks against whites.

Kelly is one of the few to be willing to say that Santa Claus is white.
