A man in Germany was sentenced to three years in prison for mere political speech related to the war in Ukraine. He reportedly called Ukraine a "terrorist state" and prominently displayed the Russian military symbol "Z" in online posts.Yahoo reports:

She was booed after skipping the usual pleasantries, telling reporters after the loss that fans should be "embarrassed" for doing so. She also said that she "cannot respect" Sabalenka for failing to speak out against the war.
Sabalenka said Sunday's win was "emotionally tough." She added that she understands why Kostyuk avoided her.

If someone's mere words of disagreement are so threatening that you must put them in prison for merely uttering them, then your position and grasp of power is so weak that you must fall.
