Fox News host Tucker Carlson has defended Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo by saying that there are "reasons to question" the motives of state Attorney General Letitia James.Gov. Cuomo is a creep, and should have had to resign over covering up his policies that killed thousands of nursing home residents.
James' investigative report into sexual harassment allegations against the governor led to Cuomo's resignation on Tuesday, one week after her report was published. ...
The Fox News host then said that large portions of James' report on Cuomo are "absurd" and "don't make sense." As an example, Carlson noted one section mentioning that Cuomo allowed senior staff members to sit in his lap during official functions. Newsweek subscription offers >
Another section of the report, cited by Carlson, read, "A senior staff member also recalled the Governor lying down on a couch with his head on a staff member's lap. None of these senior staff reported feeling uncomfortable with this behavior."
Carlson called the instances "weird," but rhetorically asked how these incidents constitute harassment. ... "I feel guilty effectively defending Andrew Cuomo, something I've never done, hope never to do. And I just want to be clear, I'm not actually defending him," Carlson said. "I'm defending the system of equal application of the law."
About a year ago, Cuomo was the biggest American hero to the Left. The Democrats and the mainstream media covered up for what a horrible person he is. But the current allegations are incredibly unfair.
If you want to see the sexual harassment yourself, watch this Alan Dershowitz video. It includes a clip of a sexual harassment, in progress, alleged. Dershowitz is right that the report is bogus.
It's refreshing to see a political leader taken down by his own party for such bad behavior. It gives one hope that our politics are redeemable
