The killer was held accountable

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST: Finally today, we want to tell you about one more contender for an Oscar tonight. It's a documentary about the death of William Ford Jr.. Before you knew the name Trayvon Martin or Tamir Rice or Eric Garner or the names of other unarmed black men and boys who've died violent deaths for which no one was held accountable, William Ford Jr., a teacher about to become a police officer, was killed after an altercation with a white employee at a car repair shop near his home on Long Island, N.Y. An all-white grand jury declined to charge him for shooting Ford.

George Zimmerman certainly was held accountable for the death of Trayvon Martin. He was vilified by the news media and President Barack Obama, investigated, indicted, jailed, and put on a nationally-televised trial for murder.

After hearing overwhelming evidence that Martin was trying to beat Zimmerman to death, the jury unanimously agreed that he was not guilty.

Yet the white-haters still try to make a martyr out of Martin. They are essentially saying that it is okay for blacks to go around viciously beating and injuring others. Saying this is much more offensive than anything that I've heard a white supremacist say.

Florida killer audio censored

One reason we get so many wacky crime stories out of Florida is that it has a very strong open records law. So mug shots, 911 calls, and police evidence are released to the public.

But in the case of the Orlando gay bar shooting, the Barack Obama administration is now censoring the 911 calls from the Afgan-American Moslem killer Mateen. The FBI says that he declares his allegiance to Islam, and the recording might give people the impression that Islam is a religion of violence. So it is being suppressed for the duration of a multi-year investigation.

We have one Presidential candidate who says that Islamic terrorism is a problem, and we have another who says that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and that we should ban guns instead.

We have a (((mainstream media))) trying to convince everyone that the massacre was caused by guns, Republicans, American schools, homophobia, racism, etc. Maintaining their power depends on keeping people brainwashed.

Ask yourself: Why is it taking years for the FBI to figure out what Donald Trump deduced within an hour of the news of the shooting? The answer is that destroying Christendom requires concealing the motives of the lizard people.

Police Arrest Man With Headless Duck

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An 18-year-old man was charged with animal cruelty and resisting an officer after witnesses reported the suspect had a headless duck in one hand and a knife in the other. ...

According to the report, witnesses said Main was attempting to show off when he captured and killed a duck, saying he planned on cooking it.

Officers said there was a barbeque grill with a fresh fire blazing on the patio when they arrived. They also said a half-empty bottle of spiced rum was on the patio, and "it was apparent from the suspect's breath and demeanor that he had been consuming alcohol."

So why is this a crime? If this were done by a restaurant, a farmer, or a hunter, no one would question it. Duck is good food, and cutting off its head is as good as what the slaughterhouses do.

I can see where it might be crime to kill someone's pet, or to hunt out of season, but this is not animal cruelty. But this seems to be a trend. I've heard a bunch of stories like this, where someone was arrested for animal cruelty, but where there is no real cruelty. Just someone who disapproved of someone else's treatment of an animal. It makes the law very vague, because there is hardly anything that you can do with an animal that will not cause someone to disapprove.

No free speech in school

The Santa Cruz Sentinel has a page 1 story about a supposed lobbying scandal:

Under pressure from a lobbying group for the plastics industry, schools officials in California have edited a new environmental curriculum to include positive messages about plastic shopping bags, interviews and documents show. ...

Although the curriculum includes the environmental hazards of plastic bags, the consultant also added a five-point question to a workbook asking students to list some advantages. According to the revised teachers' edition, the correct answer is: “Plastic shopping bags are very convenient to use. They take less energy to manufacture than paper bags, cost less to transport and can be reused.” ...

Among other changes, he also removed a mention of plastic bags as “litter” in the teachers' edition after the trade group's representative complained. “To be clear,” wrote the Ogilvy executive, “plastic bags don't start as litter; they become litter.” Now, when the word litter appears in the text, it is prefaced with “can become” or is used as a verb.

The industry lobbying improved the textbooks. We have schoolkids being brainwashed with a Gaian religion that says that plastic bags are evil, along with coal, nuclear power, internal combustion engines, and many other modern essentials. It should be obvious that the plastic bags have some utility, or we would not be using them. If it were not for these industry lobbyists, the Gaian lobbyists would have succeeded in telling only one side of a story, and it is a radical leftist side.

An evolutionist quotes Politifact and says:

Yesterday, Rick Perry commented "in Texas we teach both creationism and evolution in our public schools, because I figured you're smart enough to figure out which one is right." ...

Perry's office's claim (apparently echoed by TEA) that "teachers are permitted to discuss [creationism] with students" if the students bring it up is dubious at best. Teachers are certainly not required to remain mum when asked a direct question, but established law and professional ethics do not require or indeed authorize a teacher to use that question as an opportunity to proselytize for creationism, as Perry suggested Texas teachers do routinely. ...

A discussion of creationism might be acceptable in a Biblical history class if the full range of theological views on Genesis were also presented. But creationism could not be presented as science in a Biblical history class, any more than it could be presented as science in a science class. ...

Perry also said that the theory of evolution has gaps. He was answering a child whose mom was feeding him questions. The video shows her saying to the child, “Ask him why he doesn’t believe in science.”

I don't know what they teach in Texas, and I certainly don't think that Biblical creationism is scientific, but I think that the science lobby is silly to get excited about this. All of the candidates profess Christian beliefs, including the idea that God created the world. It won't hurt schoolkids to learn this, and scientists should not be threatened by it.

UCLA law prof Volokh reports:

A former “teacher of the year” in Lake County, Florida, has been reassigned while school administrators investigate comments posted on his Facebook page about same-sex marriage.... [S]chool officials received a complaint Tuesday about the content on Mount Dora High School teacher Jerry Buell’s personal Facebook page .... CNN affiliate Central Florida News 13 reported that a status post on it said, “I’m watching the news, eating dinner, when the story about the New York okaying same sex unions came on and I almost threw up.”

Same-sex marriage is illegal under both Florida and federal law. If a Florida teacher is opposed to it, then he is in agreement with most of his political leaders. He should be allowed to express his private opinions on his personal Facebook page regardless of whether anyone agrees with him, and he should certainly not be punished for expressing opinions that are firmly within the majority.

A new California law requires teachers to promote homosexuality. Again, leftist propagandists are insisting on brainwashing kids with one side of a controversial story.

Gates encourages the terrorists

We have a Defense Secretary who is eager to blame America.

RAMADI, Iraq -- Marking the formal end of the United States' combat mission in Iraq, Defense Secretary Robert Gates suggested Wednesday that even if the war-torn country emerges from the chaos and upheavals of recent years in a way that favors U.S. interests, the venture will always be "clouded" by the faulty intelligence the Bush administration cited to make the initial case for war.

"The problem with this war for, I think, many Americans is that the premise on which we justified going to war proved not to be valid -- that is, Saddam (Hussein) having weapons of mass destruction," Gates told reporters after meeting with troops at Camp Ramadi in al-Anbar province. "Even if the outcome (of the war) is a good one from the standpoint of the United States, it will always be clouded by how it began."

No, the premise that was stated at the time of the war was that Iraq had a history of WMD development and military aggression, and that it was not complying with UN inspections.

Admittedly, Pres. Bush himself waivered on this point. Here are the reasons as I understood them. For original documents, see the 2003 speeches by G.W. Bush and Tony Blair. You could also read the Senate speeches by Republican and Democrat leaders.

Now Gates is trying to suppress free speech:

Obama was asked by a reporter about a direct telephone appeal made on Thursday by U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates to Jones asking him not to go ahead with the Koran burning.

"My hope is that this individual prays on it and refrains from it," the president said.

I think that Gates is going to get Americans killed by giving encouragement to terrorists. He is effectively telling them that our war was not legitimate, and that they can use threats of violence to intimidate us into suppressing Christian beliefs that might be offensive to non-Christians.

Officer fired for joining the KKK

AP reports from Florida:

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – An Alachua County Sheriff's Office corrections officer who acknowledged being a member of the Ku Klux Klan has been fired for belonging to a subversive or terrorist organization, a violation of the agency's code of ethics.

Wayne Kerschner was fired Tuesday following a 10-month internal investigation.

Is this particular KKK organization subversive or terrorist? I am guessing that they are not terrorists, because the article says that they do criminal background checks on all members. The organization mainly operates a web site and has some secret handshakes.

I am just wondering if they also fire officers who belong to Communist or Mohammedan jihadist organizations.

And if it took 10 months for the investigators to figure out that this was a subversive organization, then how was this officer supposed to know?

In the 1950s, many prominent American leftists argued that they had a free speech right to join Communist and other subversive organizations. Where are they now?

Letter may be hate crime

If caught, the poster of an anonymous, racist letter on the Mid-Atlantic Christian University campus could be charged with a hate crime.

District Attorney Frank Parrish said this week if the author or authors of the letter violated the state’s ethnic intimidation statute, they’ll face Class 1 misdemeanors.

“If the evidence of the crime is there, and the alleged offenders are there, we will prosecute them,” Parrish said Wednesday.

Although Parrish hadn’t read the letter, he said its contents led him to believe it was written with the intent to intimidate persons on the basis of their race.

“It sounds to me in a general way like threatening language,” Parrish said.

So the DA has not even read the letter, and yet he wants to prosecute someone for some publicly posted opinions.

News media create and destroy

Whenever the news media destroy someone, defensive reporters deny any responsibility for what they have done. They claim that their victim self-destructed.

Bill would mandate nicer term for illegals

Florida news:

TALLAHASSEE -- A state legislator whose district is home to thousands of Caribbean immigrants wants to ban the term "illegal alien" from the state's official documents."I personally find the word 'alien' offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children," said Sen. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami. "An alien to me is someone from out of space."

I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt, and assume she said "outer space".

"There are students in our schools whose parents are trying to become citizens and we shouldn't label them," she said. "They are immigrants, through no fault of their own, not aliens."

Wilson said the first word isn't as bad as the second.

"'Illegal,' I can live with, but I like 'undocumented' better," she said.

If their parents are really immigrants trying to become citizens, then they are documented. They have papers that describe their status. The term "undocumented" is incorrect. I'm also not sure why she says "no fault of their own". She seems to be confused about what these terms mean.
