Now Schiff and Nadler are gone, and the list is more diverse. It is still led by Jews, but also includes a Black man and woman, a Chinese man, a Hispanic man, a man compromised by a Chinese spy, and a couple of more women.
Apparently Schiff and Nadler match the Jewish stereotypes too closely.
Last time nearly all the witnesses were Jews. It is not clear whether there will be witnesses this time. The Democrats have their minds made up.
I cannot say that it is Jew coup this time, as Pres. Trump will already be out of office when the trial takes place. Alan Dershowitz says that such a trial will be unconstitutional. A couple of times in the 1800s the Senate attempted to have an impeachment trial for someone who was out of office, but not successfully. Senators voted to acquit because they believed the process to be unconstitutional.
Another central flaw in the impeachment is that it is based on Trump's refusal to concede that he lost the election fairly. That is his right, of course, as prominent Democrats refused to concede that they lost the 2000, 2004, and 2016 elections fairly.
The Democrats will say that Trump is not being impeached for his opinion, but that is a critical part of the article of impeachment. It says:
President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, DC. There, he reiterated false claims that ‘‘we won this election, and we won it by a landslide’’.Without this, there would be no impeachment.
And of course there is no allegation that Trump violated any law, or did anything beyond exercising his First Amendment rights, or violated any norms that were established before his Presidency.
