The Borg are a fictional cybernetic species in the Star Trek franchise, consisting of a vast collective of assimilated individuals linked in a hive mind that relentlessly seeks to incorporate the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species into its own to achieve perfection.1 Operating as a unified entity without individual free will, the Borg function like a single organism, with drones exhibiting a uniform, emotionless demeanor and enhanced capabilities through cybernetic implants that replace organic parts, such as laser-emitting eyes or mechanical appendages.1 Their assimilation process involves injecting nanoprobes into victims to forcibly integrate them into the Collective, often accompanied by the ominous declarations "Resistance is futile" and "You will be assimilated."1The Borg seemed like a metaphor for the Left. Leftists today are always seeking to absorb everyone into their hive mind. Then they lose free will and go along with the collective. They view it as inevitable that everyone will eventually be absorbed.
