In January the Florida Select Committee on Health Innovation approved House Bill 1639 (HB 1639), which dramatically restricts treatment for transgender individuals. If the bill becomes law, it will make it easier for insurers to refuse to cover gender-affirming care, will require those that cover gender transition to also offer policies that do not and will bar transgender people from updating their driver’s license. It also mandates that insurers provide detransition care to those who want to revert to the sex they were assigned at birth.Sounds reasonable to me. I should not have to pay for someone else's bizarre sexual fantasy.
The Florida bill would require insurers to cover “mental health or therapeutic services to treat a person's perception that his or her sex ... is inconsistent with such person’s sex at birth by affirming the insured’s sex.” In plain language, HB 1639 endorses so-called conversion therapy: counseling aimed at curing someone of being transgender, viewing it as a form of mental disorder or spiritual failing.It is a mental disorder. That is why transgender people want treatment, and want insurance to pay for it.
It goes on to descreib some psychotherapies and argue that they do not work very well. Of course, no psychotherapies work very well.

I do find it funny that just a recently as the so called 'Covid 19' epidemic democrats were actually saying people that didn't agree with them should be forcibly sent to re-education camps until the conformed. I didn't hear a lot democrats speaking out against this idea, most in fact were agreeing that people who didn't do what they were told by the government should be fired or forced to submit.

I also remember who actually put the Japanese Americans in concentration camps as well...by a Democrat called Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States.
Now, conservatives are being called monsters because they don't want to pay for mentally ill (mostly socially autistic people) to cut their balls and breasts off or surgically castrate their children using the very same drugs used on pedophiles. And to think just a few short years ago liberals were screaming about the barbaric inhumanity of circumcision...how things change.
