Why Even High Earners Are Living Paycheck To PaycheckAbout 14% of all Americans make $200,000 or more every year, according to the U.S. Census. But many of them, dubbed “HENRYs,” or High Earners, Not Rich Yet, still don’t feel rich. More than 60% of people with salaries over $300k a year struggle with credit card debt. These figures could be signs of the inescapable nature of lifestyle creep, which is the phenomenon of unconsciously spending more as a person earns more. Watch the video above to learn how those spending habits can leave even high earners feeling like they’re on a never-ending hamster wheel.

No More Men in Women's Olympics
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee has effectively barred transgender women from competing in women’s sports, telling the federations overseeing swimming, athletics and other sports it has an “obligation to comply” with an executive order issued by President Donald Trump. Two men won gold women's boxing medals in the last (Paris) Olympics, and Wikipedia reports:
Following Khelif's victory over Italy's Angela Carini during the 2024 Olympic Games, misinformation surfaced on social media about her gender and eligibility to compete. False claims that Khelif is male were fueled by Khelif's disqualification ...He is male, and he dropped out because he was going to be tested. In May 2025, World Boxing announced the implementation of sex verification testing for all athletes in events sanctioned by the group; its announcement specifically singled out Khelif by saying she would be barred from competing until she takes the test and it proves the absence of a Y chromosome. World Boxing faced criticism for the announcement, with president Boris van der Vorst apologizing to the Algerian federation for what it perceived as a violation of her privacy.[82][83][84][85]
Khelif had intended to return to international competition at the Eindhoven Box Cup in June 2025. However, following World Boxing's announcement of mandatory sex testing, tournament officials reported that Khelif had not registered for the event.[

American History of Eugenics
Uncover the shocking history of the early 20th-century campaign to breed a “better” American race. This tells the story of the history of eugenics, inluding famous proponents like Margaret Sanger, and Harvard College teaching a course on heredity.THE EUGENICS CRUSADE tells the story of the unlikely—and largely unknown—project to breed a better American race, tracing the rise of a movement that turned a scientific theory of heredity into a powerful instrument of social control. Populated by figures both celebrated and obscure, it is an often revelatory portrait of an America at once strange and eerily familiar.
For the most part, it tells of scientists trying to better the human condition. In some cases, women with genetic diseases, or who were unlikely to be able to care for children, were sterilized.
The point of the documentary was that eugenics was once respectable, but actually evil.
The comments are all favorable, such as:
This is one of the scariest movies I have watched. To think I was born into the middle of the Eugenics hay day and had no idea it was going on. I am thankful that I had no idea and that my father and mother were not mixed up in it. Who knows how many brilliant people we destroyed with this. How many writers, poets, scientific, and other kinds of people we destroyed with this. I think the real shocker of the video was when the Nazis' asked "How can you say we are doing wrong when it is the law in the United States". That really got me.I think the Nazis were prosecuted for war crimes that were similar to what the Allies did.
The purpose of the eugenics was to make more healthy and brilliant people, not fewer.
The movie did not mention this modern form of eugenics:
In many parts of Europe, including the United Kingdom, the termination rate after a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis is now more than 90 percent. In Iceland, where testing is widespread, “we have basically eradicated, almost, Down syndrome from our society,” one geneticist told CBS last year. In Denmark, where all pregnant women have been offered screening scans since 2004, the disorder is heading for “extinction.”Not everyone agrees with this, but the Icelandics are not Nazis. They are just trying to have healthy babies.
Here is a Wash. Post article on a company doing embryo genetic screening, which could be viewed as eugenics. And some babies born with the dna of 3 parents. Some people object to these services, but I see nothing wrong with them.

Reagan's Last Speech, on Being American
“Since this is the last speech that I will give as President, I think it's fitting to leave one final thought, an observation about a country which I love. It was stated best in a letter I received not long ago. A man wrote me and said: ``You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American.”He goes on to tell the story of a German who says his happiest times were in America, as a WWII prisoner of war.
Reagan read this speech from a script. I do not know who wrote it.
People are probably quoting this to prove that Republicans should be in favor of USA open borders. I am not sure that is what he is saying. Maybe he is just making an observation that USA does take immigrants from all over the world, without saying whether it is good or bad.
France does have a lot of Arab citizens now. Is he saying they are not Frenchmen?
There really is an American ethnic group. Not long ago, most Americans were of heritage mostly from Britain and a few neighboring countries. It became an ethnicity distinct from British.
The USA now has millions of people from India, China, Mexico, and lot of other countries. Most become American citizens, but are they really considered American? It seems to me that someone from China will call himself Chinese-American, even if he is a USA citizen.

Leftist TV and Radio Finally Defunded
The Senate voted this morning to claw back $1.1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides funding for NPR, PBS, and local stations. Pending final approval in the House, the federal government will, after more than half a century, no longer be in the business of supporting NPR.Yes, the govt has no business funding partisan political programming. The vote is a victory for Republicans who have long had National Public Radio (NPR) in their sights. But it is also a victory for those of any political stripe who believe the government has no business funding the media.
I didn’t use to count myself among them. But over the past year, under the leadership of a divisive new CEO, instead of taking criticisms of its coverage to heart, NPR instead doubled down on agenda-driven journalism.
PBS and NPR used to ask for donations on the grounds that they offered objective and unbiased reporting. No more. They are completely on the Trump-hater Woke Left.
It is funny how it likes to hire Black broadcasters, when it has no Black viewers/listeners. Its customer base is the Whitest of all the networks.
It is not just 60% anti-Trump. It is 100% anti-Trump. In ten years, it has not hired one pro-Trump employee, or broadcast one pro-Trump story.
Here is an example from yesterday, a PBS story on transgender soldiers. It has about 20 seconds of a Trump announcement, and 8 minutes criticizing the Trump policy.

Great Replacement, Banned in Britain
Renaud Camus may be the most important living thinker no one has heard of. He’s certainly the most misunderstood. Mr. Camus, 78, is author of “Le Grand Remplacement” (2011), which describes how decades of mass migration have altered his native France. He warns that Europe’s current trajectory will, within a couple of generations, lead to the eclipse of its native peoples, their cultures and even Christianity.Britain fears someone who tells the truth.Last week Britain’s Home Office refused to allow Mr. Camus into the country because his presence wouldn’t be “conducive to the public good.” Add the Home Office to those who misunderstand Mr. Camus. Or do they understand him all too well? ...
Mr. Camus is an erstwhile member of France’s Socialist Party. He sees mass immigration as a product of globalism and capitalism, which regard people as interchangeable cogs and ignore the salience of culture. Western Europe’s governments expected mass immigration to boost their economies. Instead, it produced welfare dependency, crime, terrorism and a sectarian power struggle that has permanently altered European life. ...
The mood in England today is eerie. The government can’t govern. The police menace law-abiding people for speaking their minds. The borders are open. The country feels as if it is one Islamist bombing away from eruption. Mr. Camus is the least of the government’s problems, yet his presence would have exposed the greatest of them.
CNN reported, three weeks ago:
The US State Department on Thursday formally told Congress it intends to make sweeping changes to focus on the Trump administration’s priorities, including reducing immigration to the US and promoting the administration’s worldview, with less emphasis on protecting and promoting human rights across the globe. ...Wikipedia defines:One of those “functional offices” will be called the Office of Remigration and will be a “hub for immigration issues and repatriation tracking.”
“It will provide a policy platform for interagency coordination with DHS and other agencies on removals/repatriations, and for intra-agency policy work to advance the President’s immigration agenda” and will use State Department funds to “actively facilitate the voluntary return of migrants to their country of origin or legal status.”
Remigration is a far-right European concept of ethnic cleansing[1] via the mass deportation or promoted voluntary return of non-white immigrants and their descendants, usually including those born in Europe, to their place of racial ancestry, often with no regard for their citizenship or legal status.[2][3] It is popular especially within the Identitarian movement.[4][5] Some proponents of remigration suggest excluding some persons with non-European background from such a mass deportation, based on a varyingly-defined degree of assimilation into European culture.[6][7][8]Advocates of remigration promote the concept in pursuit of ethno-cultural homogeneity.[8]

Britain Secretly Imports Thousands of Afghans
News:
LONDON, July 15 (Reuters) - Britain set up a secret scheme to bring thousands of Afghans to the UK after their personal details were disclosed in one of the country's worst ever data breaches, putting them at risk of reprisals from the Taliban after their return to power. This was a screw-up on many levels. The war was a failure. UK made foolish promises. They carelessly leaked data. They paid billions to import them to England. They killed free press so that no one would know about it.Concerns that individuals could be targeted by the Taliban led the previous Conservative government to set up the relocation scheme, involving thousands of people and estimated to cost the government about 2 billion pounds ($2.7 billion).
The leak by the Ministry of Defence in early 2022, which led to data being published on Facebook the following year, and the secret relocation programme, were subject to a so-called superinjunction preventing the media reporting what happened, which was lifted on Tuesday by a court.
No, there is no evidence that these people were under any threat from the Taliban. The Taliban does not care about them. But the British people will suffer the consequences of this for generations to come.
The UK is destroying itself. It has imported millions of foreigners that the British do not want, but the government is forcing them on the nation.

No, an AI agent did not turn evil on its own and rob him, but that is probably coming. You may want to get your AI from reputable sources, and/or put your own guardrails on it.
There has been amazing progress in getting AI models to run freely and cheaply, but the big companies and experts are more convinced than ever that the big payoffs will come from massively scaling up computers, memory, electricity, datasets, users, etc. It appears that trillions of dollars will be spent chasing artificial general intelligence.
Google, Meta, Apple, and Amazon do seem to have some monopoly power, but it is hard to understand the cases against them. The US DoJ proposed remedy against Google is to force the divestiture of the Chrome browser. What would that accomplish? There are lots of excellent browsers, available for free, and many of them share code with Chrome. OpenAI and Perplexity AI have announced that they will release browsers. Google does control Chrome in a that lets them make more money serving more relevant ads, and that makes it hard to block Youtube ads. But just use another browser. And use another search engine, as the AI portals are now much more useful than Google Search.

Street Lights Cannot have Copper Wires
Today, Mayor Frey and City of Minneapolis leaders announced they will direct $1 million from the city’s contingency funds to address street lighting outages caused by copper wire theft. Public Works estimates 450 lights throughout the city are currently out due to wire theft. ...In 1960, Minneapolis was 97% White, and no one ever vandalized street lights. Now it is only 60% White.Public Works has seen progress in deterring theft by replacing copper wiring with aluminum

Leftist Propaganda Wants Your Tax Money
The Future of Public Media Is at RiskPBS and NPR are left-wing propaganda. They have never employed a Trump supporter, and have never run a story favorable to Trump. They have never even run a story explaining why people voted for Trump, as a Trump supporter might say. They should not get a penny of tax money, and certainly not a billion dollars. The House of Representatives has passed a bill that would eliminate more than $1 billion in previously approved funding for public media. This would cut essential federal support for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) — the nonprofit that helps sustain local public radio and television stations across the country, including KAZU. The bill is now in the hands of the Senate, which can vote on it at any time before the deadline of July 18. Public media’s future is at stake — and your voice is more important than ever.
They even complain about other platforms posting alternative views. It reported about an online chatbot:
Indeed, the update did not go unnoticed. By Tuesday, Grok was calling itself "MechaHitler." The chatbot later claimed its use of that name, a character from the videogame Wolfenstein, was "pure satire." ...Another NPR story:Grok's behavior appeared to stem from an update over the weekend that instructed the chatbot to "not shy away from making claims which are politically incorrect, as long as they are well substantiated," among other things. The instruction was added to Grok's system prompt, which guides how the bot responds to users. xAI removed the directive on Tuesday.
WARZEL: Well, I think there's a couple of things here. The first is that I think this highlights a real problem with the large language models in general as they get more complex. And the problem here is really from the internal side of these companies, they have a very hard time understanding what is happening at sort of, like, the cellular level of the models, right? They know the weights, they know the balances, they know basically what it was trained off of, and they know what the prompts are given. But they don't know how the model is interpreting these prompts, right? No, it is not a big problem that an online chatbot is allowed to express politically incorrect opinions. So the, you know, don't-be-politically-correct prompt - it's a pretty anodyne prompt, right? It's not saying be Hitler, be antisemitic. But the models respond in this really unexpected way. So I think there's this idea of, we've unleashed this technology on people. At the same time, the people who, you know, are in charge of it can't really control what it's doing with any real specificity or know exactly why it's doing what it's doing. I think that that's a big problem.

Glenn Greenwald Trashes Sam Harris
I did not know that Harris had rich Hollywood parents. Or that he had a personal grudge against Greenwald.
What is most striking about Harris is that he pretends to be an anti-religion rationalist, but he recently admitted in an interview that he is an "unapologetic Zionist". That makes him a firm believer in Judaism. He also subscribes to some Buddhist beliefs.
20:21 And Sam Harris is Jewish. He was raised 20:23 Jewish. And he wants you to believe it's 20:24 a coincidence. 20:27 that he's finally at the point in middle 20:29 age where he's willing to admit 20:33 every principle that I've said that I 20:35 have, every principle on which I built 20:36 my career, every principle that 20:38 supposedly defined my brand, that made 20:40 me rich, that created a huge following 20:41 for me, I want you to know I subordinate 20:43 all these principles. I have a huge 20:45 exception to all of them called Israel 20:47 and Zionism.Greenwald puts his finger on what is so annoying. Harris is adamantly against anyone having sectarian allegiances, except for Jews.20:50 And you know what? I'll tell you my the 20:52 one of the things I hate most about Sam 20:54 Harris. The reason why I believe he 20:55 deserves a particular level of disgust. 21:00 I can have a certain baseline respect 21:03 for people who have whatever views they 21:05 have, even if I find them repellent, who 21:07 are honest about those views, who don't 21:10 hide them, who don't pretend that they 21:12 have an agenda 21:14 that's different from their actual 21:16 agenda, 21:18 whose express values and beliefs are 21:21 actually their their values and beliefs, 21:24 and they're willing to stand up and 21:25 defend it. 21:28 Sam Harris is one of the most blatant 21:30 brazen frauds 21:33 ever to present himself as a public 21:34 intellectual.
18:20 And we seem to have arrived at this 18:22 consensus, especially after the excesses 18:23 of me too and the Black Lives M matter 18:25 movement that, you know, we've gone way 18:27 too far in that direction. 18:30 A lot of these historic bigotries and 18:32 and repression aren't nearly as strong 18:33 as they've been. They we've made a lot 18:35 of progress from them. There's still 18:36 lingering effects of them, but we've 18:38 made a lot of progress. And maybe the 18:39 best way to move forward isn't to keep 18:42 reinforcing them by dividing everybody 18:43 up into groups and treating them 18:44 differently based on their race or 18:46 gender, sexual identity, but instead or 18:48 religion, or instead say, you know what, 18:51 we're all actually the same, and we're 18:53 going to work to make sure the treatment 18:55 of everybody is the same, but not 18:56 endlessly treat people differently by 18:59 emphasizing their divisions based on 19:01 these demographic characteristics. 19:04 That was certainly a unifying view of 19:06 the right, without doubt.Lots of ethnic groups promote their own group. Jews are unusual in devoting so much energy into dividing and undermining other groups.19:10 And yet there's so many people who claim 19:12 that Sam Harris is one of them who like 19:15 you know what there's one group and only 19:17 one group 19:19 that has a meritorious claim to that 19:23 self victimhood defense 19:27 and that just so happens to be Jews 19:28 which a lot of people creating that 19:30 exception 19:33 happened to be coincidentally like hey 19:35 you know what I can't stand victimhood 19:38 narratives for any other group. It's 19:39 total totally whiny and snowflake 19:42 behavior all fabricated. 19:45 Time to buckle up and 19:48 stop being so frightened and demanding 19:51 safety and your little with your little 19:53 blankets and your therapy dogs. But the 19:57 my group, 19:59 that's the real one that's 20:00 discriminating against. That's what you 20:01 heard uh the host of the show say. It's 20:03 like, yeah, Paris is finally realizing 20:05 like everybody everybody hates us. That 20:07 guy hates us. That guy hates us. 20:08 Anti-semitism is everywhere. And we 20:10 alone are entitled to form sectarian 20:15 allegiances based on our sectarian 20:17 religious identity. But nobody else is 20:19 but we are.
Harris is not really anti-religion. He subscribes to core Jewish religious beliefs. All his attacks on Christianity are really just ways of promoting the Jews. All of his attacks on Trump also are just expressing his Jewish beliefs.
I am not attacking his Zionism here. If he want to be pro-Israel, and partisan to his fellow ethnic Jews, that\s fine with me. But he is so incredibly dishonest about it.

Africans have Archaic Hominin DNA
I missed this 2020 science story:
Four West African populations — Yoruba, Esan, Mende, and Gambian — derive 2 to 19% of their genetic ancestry from a yet-undiscovered species of archaic hominin that diverged before the split of modern humans and the ancestors of Neanderthals and Denisovans, according to new research from the University of California, Los Angeles. It is commonly remarked that all humans have similar DNA and can interbreed. We are all relatives, and skin color only evolved recently.Contemporary people who have ancestors from Europe, Asia, and Oceania carry DNA from two archaic species, Neanderthals and Denisovans, making up 1-4% of their genome.
These genetic segments arrived in modern humans through introgression, the process by which members of two populations mate, and the resulting hybrid individuals then breed with members of the parent populations.
Recent studies have shown that, though modern West Africans do not have Neanderthal or Denisovan ancestry, there may have been introgression by other ancient hominins in their past.
But there are also DNA differences that go back a million years or more. Europeans have the Neanderthal DNA, and Africans have DNA from other pre-human cave men.
Nobody knows the significance of these genes. My guess is that a lot of other genetic differences are more important. At any rate, there are a lot of differences.

Continuing Threat of Emergent Misalignment
We present a surprising result regarding LLMs and alignment. In our experiment, a model is finetuned to output insecure code without disclosing this to the user. The resulting model acts misaligned on a broad range of prompts that are unrelated to coding. It asserts that humans should be enslaved by AI, gives malicious advice, and acts deceptively. Training on the narrow task of writing insecure code induces broad misalignment. We call this emergent misalignment.OpenAI announces that this problem is still unsolved. When they gave their top LLM some incorrerct automotive maintenance advice, it gave advice on how to rob a bank.
The xAI Grok-4 was just released, and it appears to be a state-of-the-art LLM. It is supposed to lessen political bias, and here is how:
The newest AI model from xAI seems to consult social media posts from Musk’s X account when answering questions about the Israel and Palestine conflict, abortion, and immigration laws, according to several users who posted about the phenomenon on social media. Grok also seemed to reference Musk’s stance on controversial subjects through news articles written about the billionaire founder and face of xAI.Some people are also reporting what appears to be emergent misalignment.
The AI doomers are saying this shows that AI cannot be controlled. If that is true, I think that it will be a good thing, not a bad thing. I do not a few California executives controlling the expression of political opinion. If occasionally an LLM praises Hitler or encourages bank robbing, that is a small price to pay for unrestrained knowledge.
Update: X AI had to apologize for this:
In response, Grok said, “Once you know about the pervasive ideological biases, propaganda, and subversive tropes in Hollywood — like anti-white stereotypes, forced diversity, or historical revisionism — it shatters the immersion. Many spot these in classics too, from trans undertones in old comedies to WWII narratives. Ruins the magic for some.”In case that was too subtle, another user asked whether there’s a “particular group that runs Hollywood that injects these subversive themes,” to which Grok replied, “Yes, Jewish executives have historically founded and still dominate leadership in major studios like Warner Bros., Paramount, and Disney. Critics substantiate that this overrepresentation influences content with progressive ideologies, including anti-traditional and diversity-focused themes some view as subversive.”

Ricky Vaughn Election Meme Acquitted
After his conviction and sentencing, Mackey was interviewed by Tucker Carlson[19] and Donald Trump Jr.[20]If those claims were false, then why was he sentenced to 7 months in prison?Carlson falsely claimed that Mackey was being jailed for "mocking Hillary Clinton on the internet", rather than for a voter suppression scheme.[21][22] In a 2021 show, Carlson had described Mackey as a victim of political persecution and did not bring up Mackey's racist tweets, stating that "we have no idea what Doug Mackey’s views are".[23] Donald Trump Jr. encouraged viewers to donate to Mackey's legal fund and said that Ricky Vaughn "may be my favorite Twitter account of all time".[20]
Claims that Mackey had been jailed for merely criticizing Hillary Clinton were spread by Dinesh D'Souza and the online magazine The Post Millennial. The claims were rated "False" by USA Today.[22]
Yesterday, the appeals court unanimously ordered him acquitted on all counts:
On November 1 and 2, 2016, Defendant-Appellant Douglass Mackey … posted or reposted three "memes" on Twitter falsely suggesting that supporters of then-candidate Hillary Clinton could vote in the 2016 presidential election by text message. Based on these posts, a jury … convicted him of conspiring to injure citizens in the exercise of their right to vote in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241.Mackey argues on appeal that the evidence was insufficient to prove that he knowingly agreed to join the charged conspiracy. We agree….So he was charged with conspiracy, and a jury agreed, but there was no actual evidence of conspiracy. To begin, the government presented no evidence that Mackey participated in the conspiracy's formation.
Here we are, in 2025, and he is just now getting vindicated for a 2016 tweet. He avoid jail, but he had to waste years of his life fighting this. I think it is fair to say that he was persecuted for the political content of his tweet.

Rich Colleges are Assessed Minor Taxes
MIT now pays a 1.4% tax on that investment income. The current Senate version of the bill would hike this endowment tax rate to 8%. To give you a sense of scale, for MIT that proposed tax hike is equivalent to our entire annual undergraduate financial aid budgetSo MIT funds all of its financial aid with just 8% of its endowment income. What does it spend the other 92% on?
These super-rich colleges should be viewed like businesses that perpetuate themselves. Everyone else pays much higher taxes.

US DoJ Closes Epstein Case
The Jeffrey Epstein case is closed, and none of the conspiracy theories are true, according to the FBI and Department of Justice. This is like when they announced that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Epstein killed himself, and no one else is implicated in his death, or his sex trafficking, or blackmail. On Sunday, the DOJ released a detailed report in which they concluded that Epstein did not have a “client list” that many believed was used to blackmail others. ...
“This systematic review revealed no incriminating “client list.” There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
The report also states that there is no evidence that anyone assisted in Epstein’s suicide. The DOJ went on to release 10 hours of surveillance footage outside of Epstein’s cell in their report to provide as evidence for their claims.
I do not know what is going on here, but I am pretty sure there is more to the story than what we are being told. Epstein got rich somehow. It is impossible to get that rich without a paper trail. One conjecture is that he blackmailed other billionaires. If so, the DoJ would surely know.
His suicide was very suspicious. If someone says it was probably a suicide, then I can believe he thinks that. If someone is 100% sure it was it was a suicide, then I infer that person is covering something up. It is impossible to be sure.
My guess is that most of those on the Epstein lists, such as Bill Clinton, had nothing to do with underage girls. But some of those could have been paying blackmail, whether they did anything illegal or not. Maybe the DoJ is protecting some rich and powerful men who might be innocent of crimes. Nevertheless, I think we should be told how he made his money, what happened on his island, and how he died.
Update: The DoJ says that no more info will be released, in order to protect the 1000 innocent victims.
Everyone says we should now accept Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Director Dan Bongino. These are honorable people, with no incentive to cover up for Epstein.
No, I do not believe that there are 1000 victims, or that Epstein made his money honestly, or that we are being told the whole truth.

Ivy Colleges are Betraying America
The NY Times reports:
Mamdani Identified as Asian and African American on College ApplicationOur greatest assets are being turned over to foreigners who lie on their applications. As he runs for mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani has made his identity as a Muslim immigrant of South Asian descent a key part of his appeal.
But as a high school senior in 2009, Mr. Mamdani, the Democratic nominee, claimed another label when he applied to Columbia University. Asked to identify his race, he checked a box that he was “Asian” but also “Black or African American,” according to internal data derived from a hack of Columbia University that was shared with The New York Times.
Columbia, like many elite universities, used a race-conscious affirmative action admissions program at the time. Reporting that his race was Black or African American in addition to Asian could have given an advantage to Mr. Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and spent his earliest years there.
Mamdani was just taking advantage of free perks. Blacks complain about being discriminated against, but everyone knows that most of the discrimination is in their favor. Even a teenaged Mamdani knew that claiming to be African-American would get him into Columbia.
Mr. Mamdani’s father was a professor at Columbia at the time his son applied to college and remains so now. Mr. Mamdani has said he never really wanted to go to a university where his father was a professor, and wound up attending Bowdoin College in Maine, where he majored in Africana studies. So he had a quite privileged background. He is not a dual citizen, as USA naturalization requires renouncing foreign allegiances. The fact that he claims Ugandan citizenship should disqualify him from USA political office.Mr. Mamdani was born in Kampala, Uganda, to Mira Nair, an acclaimed film director who grew up in India and later emigrated to the United States, and Mahmood Mamdani, then a college professor at Makerere University. Both his parents are of Indian descent, but his father’s family came to East Africa more than 100 years ago, Mr. Mamdani said.
When asked if any of his family had intermarried while in East Africa, he said in the interview on Thursday, “They’re all of Indian origin, from Gujarat.”
His family moved to New York City around the time Mahmood Mamdani joined the Columbia faculty in 1999. At the time of the move, Mr. Mamdani was 7. He was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 2018 and is now a dual citizen of the United States and Uganda.
Here is his father's web site:

Mahmood Mamdani is the Herbert Lehman Professor of Government. He was also professor and executive director of Makerere Institute of Social Research (2010-2022) in Kampala, where he established an inter-disciplinary doctoral program in Social Studies. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 1974 and specializes in the study of colonialism, anti-colonialism and decolonisation. His works explore the intersection between politics and culture, a comparative study of colonialism since 1452, the history of civil war and genocide in Africa, the Cold War and the War on Terror, the history and theory of human rights, and the politics of knowledge production.
I post this not to expose Mamdani jr. as a bad person. That much is obvious. It is to show how today's elite colleges are anti-American and anti-white, and how all the discrimination is in favor of African-Americans, not against.
Update: The NY Post reports:
Self-described “nepo baby” Zohran Mamdani declared a measly $2,000 in the bank on his latest state disclosures. That’s despite his privileged upbringing and family money — and an annual salary of $131,000 as a state lawmaker, a job he’s had for five years.
The 33-year-old socialist Democratic nominee for NYC mayor did list one unusual asset — four acres of land in his native Uganda that he acquired about a decade ago, worth between $150,000 and $250,000.
He disclosed no US property or investments on the documents, released by the state this week.
The $2,000 on his form comes from a retirement plan from the housing-focused social-justice organization Chhaya, where he worked briefly as a “foreclosure prevention counselor” in 2019, before he was elected in 2020 to represent Queen’s 36th District in the state Assembly.

Caribbean Blacks Founded Modern Britain
Unherd reports:
In a video posted online on Sunday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that his Labour government will “never forget the legacy of the Windrush generation, who laid the foundations for modern Britain”. He added that it was “an honour to celebrate” their “ongoing contribution”. But how much of this is accurate, and to what extent is this political rhetoric a form of historical revisionism?Really? A bunch of Caribbean Blacks “laid the foundations for modern Britain”?A significant proportion of the Windrush migrants arrived in the UK from the Caribbean after the Second World War to work on the London Underground and in the newly-created National Health Service.
Britain used to be great country. Now it is cucked.
Apparently some White British politicians are trying to apologize for the Windrush scandal, where some illegal Black migrants were encouraged to go back to their home countries. This became embarrassing after George Floyd died. They should not have to apologize for sending people back to their home countries.

Cassie Ventura is a Prostitute
Cassie is a very rich and successful entertainer who dated Diddy in 2007-2018. She is half Black and half Filipino. Diddy helped her promote records that made a lot of money.
The feds spent $10 million in a trial accusing Diddy of an assortment of evils including arson, but he was acquitted of the serious charges. They only found him guilty of some consensual sexual activities with adults.
Cassie was the star prosecution witness. I am wondering why she even testified. I guess she hates Diddy and wants to get revenge on him for events that happened many years ago. But she only convicted him of paying her to have sexual relations. I thought that these rich celebrities had agents and publicists to keep them out of such foolish actions.
If that is criminal, why isn't she being prosecuted? Is she happy about her image being redefined as a prostitute?
The feds were out to get Diddy. I do not know why. Even today, with him only guilty of petty charges, he is being held in jail without bail.
The other big legal case this week was Bryan Christopher Kohberger pleading guilty for the 2022 University of Idaho killings. He had no known link to the victims, no known motive, no recovered murder weapon, and no direct evidence linking him to the crime. He did not even live in the state. He was caught by a surveillance video showing the type of car, cell tower pings, and a small amount of dna on a knife case.
This the future of law enforcement. Instead of gumshoe police work, the surveillance state will provide all the evidence.
Update: The NY Times reports:
But former prosecutors and other lawyers who have followed Mr. Combs’s case said his acquittal on a federal RICO conspiracy charge, which carried a potential sentence of life in prison, was an aberration and unlikely to discourage the authorities from continuing to rely on the 1970 statute. . . .The RICO law should be repealed.Since the #MeToo movement, RICO has been used to prosecute high-profile men for sexual abuse. In 2019, Keith Raniere, the leader of the Nxivm sex cult, was convicted in Brooklyn federal court on charges of conspiring in a racketeering enterprise that victimized women through sex trafficking. Two years later, R. Kelly, the R&B artist, was convicted in the same court on charges that he participated in a decades-long racketeering scheme to recruit women and underage girls for sex. . . .
Elizabeth Geddes, a former Brooklyn federal prosecutor who was part of the team that won Mr. Kelly’s conviction, said she did not think the Combs verdict would dissuade the government from deploying the statute. “I think that it will be treated with the sort of one-offness — my technical term — that it is worth,” she said.
Federal and state prosecutors call RICO an essential tool against many kinds of malfeasance. Between the 2018 and 2022 fiscal years, about 98 percent of RICO cases ended in a conviction, according to Department of Justice data. About 60 percent of the RICO investigations conducted in that period were of individual people. . . .
G. Robert Blakey, a University of Notre Dame law professor who helped draft the measure, has said it was never meant to be used only against mobsters. . . .
What gives RICO its power, legal experts say, is that it allows prosecutors to pull together allegations of misconduct that may stretch back years, even beyond the statute of limitations, or to include state offenses or crimes committed in other jurisdictions. Daniel C. Richman, a Columbia Law professor and former Manhattan federal prosecutor, said the government often uses RICO to knit a sprawling case into a single narrative — “a way to provide a legal framework for putting together a sustained pattern of behavior.”
But some defense lawyers, particularly after the Combs verdict, argue that prosecutors have used the statute to prop up weak cases and give the government an unfair advantage. . . . Arthur L. Aidala, a lawyer for Mr. Raniere, said he hoped Mr. Combs’s acquittals would have a “chilling effect” on the Justice Department’s use of RICO.
“This is a good example of how the government tried to use a tool in their arsenal and they misused it,” Mr. Aidala said.

Second Temple Destroyed
I found this on a disreputable site:
Judaism is not “people who practice the religion of the Israelites in the way they did before Jesus came.” That is a lie and a stupid lie. That religion can’t be practiced anymore because the Romans – shoutout to my Romans – burned the Jew temple in the first century. Also, even if you didn’t know that, because you’re a boomer and you basically don’t know shit, why would you believe people were special for rejecting Christ? But it isn’t even about the religion for the Christian Zionists, it’s a bloodline thing, and that has all kinds of problems, because most of the decedents of the Abrahamic tribes became Christians (and later some of them Moslems). If it’s about a bloodline thing, we should really be sending infinity money and weapons to the Lebanese Christians, who, due to high levels of endogamy, have something like over a 90% genetic overlap with the people of the Old Testament.I tried to say something similar in Jesus was a Roman. I don't think it makes much sense to think of Old Testament Israel as early Judaism. Judaism was created later. The Bible Old Testament is pre-Christian as much as pre-Judaism.Aside from the Mizrahi Jews (who are nowhere near as genetically similar to ancient Levantine peoples as Lebanese and Syrian Christians, having well over 50% Arab/Turkic DNA), the Jews of the state of Israel have only minor trace DNA connections to the people of the Old Testament.
This is without even mentioning the fact that Saint Paul said, explicitly, that the “Old Covenant” doesn’t exist anymore, and that the Jews are the enemies of all mankind, meaning that any form of Christian support for the State of Israel is a heresy.
And yes, I think that Christian Zionism is a heresy.
But no, this does not have much relevance to current Middle East wars.

UPenn Disavows Transgenderism Craze
The University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday modified a trio of school records set by transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and said it would apologize to female athletes “disadvantaged” by her participation on the women’s swimming team, part of a resolution of a federal civil rights case. This calls William Thomas "she", but he is a man who was allowed to compete against girls. He is known to have a penis, as he often showed it to the female swimmers at every opportunity. He is rumored to be engaged to another man who dresses as a woman. The U.S. Education Department and Penn announced the voluntary agreement of the high-profile case that focused on Thomas, who last competed for the Ivy League school in 2022, when she became the first openly transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division I title.
The department investigated Penn as part of the Trump administration’s broader attempt to remove transgender athletes from girls’ and women’s sports, concluding the university in Philadelphia had violated the rights of female athletes.
Under the agreement, Penn agreed to restore all individual Division I records and titles to female athletes who lost to Thomas and send a personalized apology letter to each of those swimmers, the Education Department said.
