Harris did not call for the platform as a whole to be shut down. Rather, she advocated for increased accountability. Here is the full transcript, if you ant context. I am not sure what has her so exercised. This predates Jan. 6, 2021, so it is not about that. She cits the Mueller investigation, some whistleblower, and a oouple of other random things. She says: "I say this as a former prosecutor."“The bottom line is that you can’t say that you have one rule for Facebook and you have a different rule for Twitter,” she stated. “The same rule has to apply, which is that there has to be a responsibility that is placed on these social media sites to understand their power. They are directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation, and that has to stop.”
AP goes on to say that Brazil has blocked X-Twitter, suggesting that Harris may try the same in the USA, if elected.
This is one of the most anti-free-speech statements I have ever heard from an American politician.

For someone who claims she wants accountability from others, she certainly lacks it for herself. No surprise there.
Maybe if she speaks with even more emotional quiver in her 'I'm talking to 2 year old's' voice and yet another phony accent... I might be inclined to take her efforts at absurdity more seriously.
