Abolish Elite Women's Sports

A NY Times article describes how transgenderism is ruining women's sports, and suggests:

The Macdonald-Laurier Institute, a policy organization based in Ottawa, argues for an “open category” for men, transgender athletes and biological females, anyone who cares to try her/his/their hand.

An exclusively female category would remain for biological women. This solution would forestall the need for transgender women to take hormone-suppressing drugs.

Some transgender activists argue such distinctions would be insulting, notwithstanding the decision of those such as Mr. Henig to race in their former gender.

The solution, a balance of gender and biology, looks distant. And yet, no end of anguish accompanies the status quo.

But that suggestion is the way it has been in the past. Women are not actually excluded from elite men's sports.

The problem is that today's LGBT activists will not go along with it.

They have already convinced the sports authorities that men should not have to have surgery to compete as women. Soon they will argue that men should not have to take drugs to compete as women. Just as everyone agrees that someone should not have to take steroids to be competitive, they will say that a man should not have to take hormone suppressants to compete against women.

The only real solution here is to abolish elite women's sports. I am all in favor of recreational sports for girls and women, but I just do not see any good purpose for elite female sports competitions. They are not even particular entertaining, unless it is something like beach volleyball. They do not further any worthwhile social goals.

“If our soccer team, headed by a group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” Trump said in a statement. “The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics instead of doing her job!”

Her team has lost games to 15-year-old boys. Everyone hates Rapinoe. We would be better off if her team were abolished.
