I thought Utah and Idaho were our most conservative states.
The Hill reports:
The Democratic-controlled cities of Salt Lake City and Boise adopted new city flags this week showing support for LGBTQ+ people in defiance of their respective states’ Republican-controlled legislatures, which have banned traditional rainbow pride flags at schools and government buildings. ...These are not just pride flags. The above is a progressive pride flag. The measure — which aims to sidestep such violations by adopting the new flags as official city flags — passed unanimously.
Some people think that these flag represent tolerance, but that is not correct. They represent progress towards a Black-queer dominated society. They are extremely offensive. It is a symbol of hatred, not tolerance.

I'm sorry you're offended and I hope you'll be okay.
Mike,
If you walk into a Canadian government building and see the American flag hanging where your own Maple leaf should be, I hope you won't be offended.
Like, it's only a silly piece of cloth, right?
Long before rainbow flag goofiness, gay men used to wear color coded handkerchiefs in their back right or left pocket depending on if they were dominant or submissive in their sexual kinks and preferences. Google 'gay hankee code' if you doubt me. All the colors of the rainbow were represented, and they certainly weren't about cheerful G rated Care-Bear cartoon drivel. Considering on what a brown hankee in either pocket meant you were into, I feel very sorry for black people who think it represents them in 'gay history'...cuz it don't.
Handkerchief code
I could understand the objection if the flag replaced an official flag, but it doesn't. The reference to blacks on the flag is to gay blacks, not straight. I wasn't familiar with the handkerchief code, thanks for the link.
Have a great day gents!
Mike,
Why would you even put 'black people' on a gay flag? Are white as crackers people on it too?
Last I checked, the point of the flag was sexual preference or orientation, not skin color, but oh well, might as well throw the kitchen sink in there too. I'm sure there is a gay plumber out there that would appreciate that too. Maybe some Kelly Green for Kermit the Frog too.
If you ACTUALLY wanted unity in a flag, you wouldn't keep dividing and subdividing the people on it by race, gender, imaginary gender, and fetish-kink into ever smaller and smaller groups. This isn't 'representing' any kind of unity at all. It's literally human division. It's also just an 'alphabet' people joke now as they are quickly running out of letters.
There is a belief among some that visible minorities have been marginalized in the LGBT community. The additions to the flag are intended to mitigate this. Yes, the flag represents the gay crackers too. I am not unsympathetic to your concerns around unity and division but I'm not as quick to toss the baby out with the bathwater.
