Transcendent moral order antecedent

The NY Times has an article attacking this Barr quote:
in the Framers’ view, free government was only suitable and sustainable for a religious people — a people who recognized that there was a transcendent moral order antecedent to both the state and man-made law and who had the discipline to control themselves according to those enduring principles. ...

This is not decay; it is organized destruction. Secularists, and their allies among the “progressives,” have marshaled all the force of mass communications, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values.
It is a strange article. The writer does a lot of research to get expert opinion against this, but the comments hardly have anything to do with the Barr quote.

AP reports:
PHOENIX (AP) — Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday that the United States needs “an awful lot more immigrants rather than less.” …

“We need immigrants to take all the different kinds of jobs that the country needs — improve our culture, our cuisine, our religion, our dialogue and certainly improve our economy,” the billionaire told reporters at a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix.
So a Jewish billionaire is running for President so he can flood America with millions of immigrants to improve our religion!

If I said this myself, I would have readers accusing me of anti-semitism. This is Bloomberg, saying it himself, and confirming the worst suspicions about Jews. He hates Christians, and wants to replace them with non-Christians from Third World countries. And he is supposed to be the moderate Democrat candidate.
