I have not seen it, but you should be warned. It is a porno movie. The female lead is a 35-year-old woman playing a teenager. None of the characters are likeable.
It is not really a love story. A girl falls for a bad boy, and cannot forget him even after she marries a much better man.
I thought that these stories of reckless female loyalties were a more modern phenomenon, but apparently female readers have been eating this up since at least 1847. The book does not have the porno scenes, but it does have Heathcliff being a nasty guy.

The heart can want whatever it wants, but it also has to face the consequences when it tries to burn the world down and then complain about getting their feelings hurt.
