Women like porn pics too

Porn research:
Women are turned on by erotic images just as much as men, a study claimed yesterday.

US researchers found more brainwave activity when women were shown pictures of writhing couples than when they saw any other photograph.

Professor Audrey Anokhin, from Washington University, said: ?That surprised us.

?We believed both pleasant and disturbing images would evoke a rapid response, but erotic scenes always elicited the strongest response.?

Experts hope the results will help them better understand some mental illnesses.
Perhaps these experts think that women are mentally ill if they like pornography.

There was a US Senate hearing on November 18, 2004 called The Science Behind Pornography Addiction. All of those invited to speak were anti-porners. They recommended that more research be done to show how the brain becomes addicted to pornography and that this research be used to make pornography illegal.

Judith Reisman said, "Thanks to the latest advances in neuroscience, we now know that pornographic visual images imprint and alter the brain, triggering an instant, involuntary, but lasting, biochemical memory trail, arguably, subverting the First Amendment by overriding the cognitive speech process."

"State-of-the-art brain scanning studies should answer these questions with hard, replicable data. As with the tobacco suits, these data could be helpful in litigation and in affecting legal change."

The headlines may say, "Women Like Porn", but the significance of this research is that anti-porners will be using it to subvert porn's First Amendment protection.
