Ideas too Toxic for Wikipedia

Wikipedia claims to be not censored. As if to prove that, it has a List of ethnic slurs, including notorious ones that I avoid here.

But there are certain views that are considered so toxic that they are not permitted. Not only that, but people holding any of these views can be permanently banned from Wikipedia.

I am not just saying that editors cannot express these opinions on Wikipedia. If someone is editing a Wikipedia on tiddlywinks, and he expresses one of these views elsewhere, then he can be doxed and banned from Wikipedia.

Here is the current list of toxic opinions.

• That white people are more intelligent than non-whites.
• That white people are more industrious than non-whites.
• That white people are more physically adept or attractive than non-whites.
• That white people are morally and ethically superior to non-whites.
• That the various cultures of white people are better than the cultures of non-white people.
• That white people have the right to live in a white-only nation.
• That, in majority-white countries, a large majority of crimes are committed by non-whites due to genetic factors.
• That violent, abhorrent or deceptive actions are justified in the pursuit of these beliefs.

• That Jews present an existential threat.
• That there exists a massive or even global conspiracy to enrich Jews at the expense of others.
• That white people are being systemically killed, out-bred and otherwise forced into a minority status.
• That Jews are the true perpetrators of Nazism, or hold an ideology that is worse or morally equivalent.
• That minority groups are seeking to destroy Western culture.
• That the Holocaust never happened, was greatly exaggerated, or that historians have inflated the death toll.
• That the Holocaust was morally justified (or, if they deny it, that it should have happened).
• That the groups persecuted by the Nazis brought it upon themselves, and that the Nazis merely acted in self-defence.
• That the wrong side won in World War II (or, the wrong side won the Great Patriotic War).
• That Adolf Hitler was a great leader for the German people, despite (or even because of) Nazi Germany's innumerable atrocities.
• That non-whites hold back white progress.
• That non-whites intend to kill whites.
• That non-whites should be slaves.
• That white people are more oppressed than other groups.
• That non-whites shouldn't have basic human rights.
• That Islam or Muslims are the overwhelming source of terrorism.
• That groups of people should be wiped off the face of the planet, or systematically "repatriated" to the lands or continents they supposedly originated from.
• That Jews are responsible for the creation of communism and/or capitalism.
• That the concept of free speech entails the freedom to post or write race-, gender-, or identity-based slurs, insults, or the promotion and glorification of hate and violence, without any consequence whatsoever, and that any consequence brought upon them is an act of censorship.
• That the Globalists are plotting to destroy Western civilization.
• That there exists a Jewish or "elite" cabal as purported in any of a variety of implausible conspiracy theories, such as QAnon, the New World Order, the white genocide, or the Great Replacement.
• That the human population has an overall genetic quality which can be improved through selective breeding, often targeting individuals considered undesirable for sterilization or elimination.
• That disabled individuals or those with mental health issues should be forcibly sterilized or killed, as part of a so-called "euthanasia" program.

So Wikipedia itself claims the free speech right to post racial slurs, but if anyone else claims that right, he will be banned from Wikipedia.

Some of these are matters of fact. Some are opinion. Many are subject to interpretation.

These bans are foolish. For example, I certainly think that the good guys won WWII, but how can I hold that view if the contrary view is suppressed? The winners write the history books. My opinion is meaningless if I am unable to learn the opposing views. I often go to Wikipedia to get unpopular views. More and more, I use AI for that.

It goes on to say:

It is funny how these people can lodge all these complaints against the White race, and then claim that no such race exists. Actually, consumer dna services will tell you your racial makeup, based on dna.

Jefferson did not Enslave Anyone

NPR reports:

For example, students must understand the Declaration of Independence and why it remains a seminal visionary document. But they must also be exposed to history's complexity and contradictions, including that Thomas Jefferson, while declaring all men are created equal, enslaved more than 600 people in his lifetime.

No, Jefferson did not enslave anyone. He did own slaves, but they were mostly inherited, and already slaves when he inherited them.

The dictionary definition of "enslave" is as a one-time act of forcing a free person into bondage, and that is how the term has been used since 1605.

As a result of Barack Obama, George Floyd, The National Park Service, and various woke historians, terminilogy has been changed to place greater blame on White slave owners.

I asked AI whether Jefferson enslaved 600 people. Google Gemini AI said yes, based on evolved word usage by historians. Grok AI said no.

I do see moral distinctions between (1) subjugating free people into slaves; (2) the trans-atlantic slave trade; and (3) continuing to participate in an economic system that relied on slaves. Men saw these distinctions 200 years ago, as enslaving people and importing slaves were banned long before banning ownership of slaves.

Here someone on NPR says "students must understand" something that is a deliberate distortion of history. It is just more anti-White propaganda.

Woman to Head English Church

London Guardian news:

Dame Sarah Mullally, 63, who has been named as the 106th archbishop of Canterbury, has been described as a “theological liberal” who will ordain men and women to the priesthood, but also supports the inclusion of those who reject the ordination of women. ...

In a 2012 blog post, Mullally said of abortion: “I would suspect that I would describe my approach to this issue as pro-choice rather than pro-life, although if it were a continuum I would be somewhere along it moving towards pro-life when it relates to my choice and then enabling choice when it related to others.”

As bishop of London, she chaired a body framing the church’s decision on whether to bless same-sex marriages. She described the eventual decision to finally allow priests to bless same-sex couples in 2023 as “a moment of hope for the church”.

This may be causing a split in the church.

Religion-haters Opposed to Free Speech

I posted about a pending Supreme Court case, so here is a contary view, from a woman presenting as non-binary lesbian:

I want to be very clear here that we are talking about children being subjected to a form of “care” that has been consistently debunked as pseudoscience, and is most frequently religious preaching that can be billed to insurance companies. The Alliance Defending Freedom made great hay out of the fact that counseling is an evidence-based practice, which it is, without mentioning the inconvenient fact that the specific type of counseling Chiles seeks to provide is not evidence-based. There is no reputable study, no mainstream medical organization, that endorses conversion therapy. In fact, the general medical consensus on the topic is that it is deeply harmful to those who fall victim to it, which is why more than 20 states have banned its use for minors. ...

Conversion therapy is fundamentally different from other forms of youth-focused psychology and psychiatry. Pediatric psychiatry can be life-saving, evidence-based, scientifically sound medical care. Conversion therapy is not that. It is also fundamentally different from its mainstream converse, gender-affirming care, because gender-affirming care is evidence-based and backed by reputable medical organizations, despite the concerted misinformation campaign to the contrary.

The terminology is confusing. What she calls "conversion therapy" is actually affirming sex, and teaching kids to learn to live with their innate sexual identities.

And "gender-affirming care" is teaching kids to adopt a gender identity opposite to their actual sex.

The fact that reputable medical organizations are on one side of this issue is scary.

This is a larger pattern, primarily pushed by the religious right, to ensure that misinformation, pseudoscience and fearmongering rule the day. Truth is one of our greatest defenses against fascism, something that the Christian nationalist movement knows it cannot withstand. LGBTQIA+ rights have provided it with a convenient foothold to test the limits and boundaries, and to drop stones in the constitutional pond that will ripple out to everyone, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.

It is funny to hear her talk of truth. The Bible says in John 8:31-32:

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

She stands in favor of laws to stop kids from learning the truth.

Man Overboard, or Person in Water

News:

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) has issued a clarification after several newspapers reported that it had labelled the term ‘man overboard’ offensive.

Numerous media outlets picked up a story published by The Telegraph on 13 September 2025, titled “‘Man overboard’ is offensive term, says Royal Yachting Association”.

The original article stated that the RYA has deemed the phrase man overboard “an offensive term that should be avoided” to “honour and value” women and non-binary people, and has suggested it should be replaced with “person in water”, a term from its inclusive language guide.

Gates Gives $200 Billion to Africa

Announcement, from a couple of months ago:

It is possible that Bill Gates will cause more human misery than any other individual in the 21st century.

He has reduced child mortality and fueled an African population explosion. More development will cause global warming. Africa will not be able to feed itself. When Africa has a billion excess population, there will be a worldwide refugee crisis.

Transgender People are Crazy and Dangerous

Friends shared messages with the media indicating that Mosley felt “the world was against her,” and that she’d begun identifying as a transgender male (and discussing hormone treatments) two years earlier.

The following year, Maya McKinney—a biologically female student who asserted a male gender identity and had begun calling herself “Alec”—opened fire at a Colorado school, killing one and wounding eight, in retaliation for alleged transphobic bullying.

Last year, a girl identifying as a boy was expelled from Les Paul Middle School in Wisconsin after she was caught plotting a school shooting. A forensic search of her phone revealed chilling queries such as “trans kill hit list.”

In 2023, “Audrey” Hale, an emotionally disturbed woman who identified as male, killed three children and three staff members at The Covenant School in Nashville. In the months leading up to the attack, Hale wrote in her journal: “My penis exists in my head. I swear to god I’m male.” Other statements included, “So now in America, it makes one a criminal to have a gun or be transgender or non-binary,” “God I hate those sh*thead politicians,” and “I need a trans doctor… This female gender role makes me want to not exist.”

Young Women Identify with Being Crazy

The women are not just crazy, they identify with being crazy.

Refugee Policy to Favor American Interests

The NY Times reports:

The Trump administration is considering a radical overhaul of the U.S. refugee system that would slash the program to its bare bones while giving preference to English speakers, white South Africans and Europeans who oppose migration, according to documents obtained by The New York Times.

The proposals, some of which already have gone into effect, would transform a decades-old program aimed at helping the world’s most desperate people into one that conforms to Mr. Trump’s vision of immigration — which is to help mostly white people who say they are being persecuted while keeping the vast majority of other people out. ...

The proposed changes would put new emphasis on whether applicants would be able to assimilate into the United States, directing them to take classes on “American history and values” and “respect for cultural norms.” ...

Critics say the plans exposes the president’s vision for what America should look like.

“It reflects a preexisting notion among some in the Trump administration as to who are the true Americans,” said Barbara L. Strack, a former chief of the refugee affairs division at Citizenship and Immigration Services during the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations. “And they think it’s white people and they think it’s Christians.”

We should be taking those who are likely to become good Americans, as opposed to the world's rejects. We have been sending Somalians to Minnesota, even though they did not even fit in in Somalia.

The NY Times appears to be horrified at this.

Billionaire Cat-lady went Bankrupt

I do not understand how anyone could squander that much money. She went broke after the $100M payments stopped.

An American in the Year 2025

Vivek Ramaswamy lectures us:

I agree with some of what he says, but who appointed him to define what it means to be an American?

He is mainly describing ideals of 2025, not 1776. I don't think anyone back then said that you are an American based on your beliefs in the national creed.

Demographic Feminization leads to Substantive Feminization

She points out that there are huge differences between men and women, and everyone agrees to that, so it is inevitable that feminization will have pluses and minuses. Indeed, people talk about the supposed pluses all the time, but it is politically incorrect to name the minuses.

I believe 13:19 demographic feminization does inevitably 13:21 lead to substantive feminization.

That is, she thinks it is fine that there are a lot more women in the elite professions, except that she does not like the consequences for society.

Trump-hating DA gets Indicted

News:

New York Attorney General Letitia James admitted a Virginia property was an “investment” on financial disclosure forms while allegedly making false statements to a bank to secure a more favorable loan that prohibited its use as a rental, putting her at risk of spending decades behind bars. ...

If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison and fines of up to $2 million.

Her first appearance in federal court in Virginia is scheduled for October 24. According to experts, James could rack up as much as $10 million in legal bills defending herself from the charges.

She got elected on promised to prosecute Pres. Trump, which she did on dubious technical charges. Now Trump is getting his revenge.

I am struck by the harsh nature of federal charges. This is really a minor offense, almost as minor as the ones against Trump. But look at the penalty! 60 years in prison. Okay, she would never get sentenced to that, but it could still cost her $10 million to get acquitted.

Rich Jewish Donors Pressured Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk was very pro-Israel, but had soured on Israel shortly before his death. There were conspiracy theories that Israel killed him. That is extremely unlikely, and apparently proven false by the arrest of the shooter.

But the London Daily Mail confirms that Jewish donors were pressuring Kirk, and withdrawing funds:

A friend of Charlie Kirk released more text messages from a leaked group chat where the Turning Point leader raged about 'bullying' Jewish donors.

Prior to his death, Kirk fumed in a group chat that he was considering leaving the 'pro-Israel cause' because Jewish donors were pulling funding over his links to Tucker Carlson.

The text messages were leaked by Candace Owens early this week, with Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet later confirming the authenticity of the screenshots.

The Donors can do what they want, but this is revealing.

It suggests that a lot of Isreal support is fake, and driven by secret Jewish power brokers.

And it suggests that Israel is losing conservatives and young people. Conservatives have always been pro-Israel, and it should not have taken much to retain their support.

New Taylor Swift Album

The NY Post reports:

Taylor Swift’s new album “The Life of a Showgirl” is barely three days old, and already woke killjoys are tearing it apart, finding offensive lyrics where there are none.

Overly online social media critics of Swift apparently instantaneously decided the new album is rife with racism and homophobia, as well as secret messages of support for the patriarchy, eugenics, and Donald Trump.

Forensic “investigations” have uncovered “dog-whistles,” but only woke detectives themselves are capable of hearing them. ...

In her song “Wishlist,” Swift says she wants to have a couple kids and get “the whole block lookin’ like you.” Some went as far as to suggest this is an allusion to eugenics, a truly astonishing leap.

One TikTokker claimed to see a subtext, which she read as, “I want to have your white babies, and I actually want our entire neighborhood to be racially homogenous.” She continued, “Now Taylor’s calling y’all childless cat ladies because she’s about to pop out some kids.”

As someone said, if you are hearing dog whistles, you are the dog.

Taylor Swift is 35 years old. Almost 36. She wants to get married and have kids.

Not weird. This is the most normal thing she has done.

Free Speech Right to Align Identity to Sex

The US Supreme Court just heard oral argument on Chiles v. Salazar

Chiles v. Salazar, Docket No. 24-539, is a pending United States Supreme Court case regarding the constitutionality of Colorado's Minor Conversion Therapy Law (MCTL), which bans conversion therapy for minors by licensed mental health professionals. The ban was challenged on violating the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, though the state had constrained the ban to licensed professionals and only as with respect to their professional duties. The ban was upheld in lower courts.

Many briefs are posted.

Here is the argument against the law:

This law harms gender dysphoric kids 1:40:41 because the statistics that we've cited in our verified complaint as well as in 1:40:46 the uh brief that we cited with this court indicate that 90% of young people who are struggling with gender dysphoria 1:40:53 before puberty work their way through it and realign their identity with their sex. But if one of those children go to 1:41:00 a counselor and they specifically say that is the help I want realigning my identity with their sex, they cannot 1:41:07 receive that help from someone like my client. Moreover, if they're continuing 1:41:12 down the path of transition, then unfortunately they get locked into that path and eventually it leads over 90% of 1:41:21 the time once they start down the path of social transition. It will lead to the route of medicalized transition 1:41:27 which the Cass report tells us comes with a lot of harm and devastation.

Conversion therapy applies to homosexuality, and has become more controversial when it is applied to transgender identity. About half the states have similar laws, so a psychotherapist can counsel a patient to go homosexual, but not to go straight.

I am struck by all the bogus language in this case.

The argument in favor of the law is that there is a "medical consensus" on the "standard of care" that "conversion therapy" is not supported by "evidence-based practice". The therapy is "ineffective" and "potentially harmful". Changing sexual preferences is impossible because they are "innate" and "immutable". Homosexuality and transgenderism have been determined to be not pathological, so there can be no legitimate treatment to change them. Any such effort is harmful because, among other things, it can cause "family alienation". No reputable medical society or expert testimonty supports such therapy.

This is all so crazy I don't know where to stert. All psychotherapies are ineffective and potentially harmful. Say you go to a shrink or any other medical professional because you are obese and want advice getting to a healthier weight. The vast majority of people getting such advice do not lose weight. That means the advice is ineffective. Many patients get angry or depressed or develop other unhealthy habits. That means the advice is potentially harmful.

The easy way out for the therapist is the affirm the fatness, and tell the patient to stay fat. Perhaps the studies would categorize such therapy as more successful, because the patient is happier in the short term, by avoid the struggle to lose weight.

All the medical societies need to do is the announce that fatness is not pathological. Maybe also that it is innate and immutable.

This might seem like an artificial example, but it is not. People see psychotherapy for all sorts of problems, including depression, alcoholism, and personality disorders. All of these are heritable, and cannot be changed without a lot of hard work. Most psychotherapy does not work. Some people do change, with help and motivation.

Our medical societies have been corrupted to where they refuse to help kids who need help. Saying that there is a consensus is just proof of how the system has been politicized. The field of Psychology hardly ever has a consensus on anything. For something as controversial as transgenderism, a healthy profession would have a diversity of opinions on what to do about it. Maybe they would accept scientific evidence, but there is no proof that affirming transgenderism has ever benefited anyone.

I think the Supreme Court ducked the issue of conversion therapy for homosexuals, but required licensed psychotherapists to tell small kids to change gender identity is too much. I expect the Colorado law to be struck down. Such laws should have been struck down ten years ago.

Update: The strange thing is that the whole idea of conversion therapy harm is that it can be frustrating to change what you really are. But the approved transgender affirmation therapy does exactly that.

Examples of Mass Hysteria

Mass hysteria, also known as mass psychogenic illness, is when a threat (real or imagined) causes physical symptoms or bizarre behavior to spread among a large number of people.

Here are some notable examples from history:

The Dancing Plague (1518): In Strasbourg, France, a woman began dancing uncontrollably in the street. Over the next month, hundreds of others joined her, dancing until they collapsed from exhaustion, and some died. It's believed to be an example of mass psychogenic illness, possibly triggered by severe psychological distress and social strain common in the Middle Ages.

The Salem Witch Trials (1692–1693): In Salem Village, Massachusetts, a series of trials and executions took place after several young girls experienced convulsions and fits and accused members of the community of witchcraft. This panic led to the accusation of about 200 people, with 19 people being hanged.

The War of the Worlds Radio Broadcast (1938): A radio adaptation of H. G. Wells' novel The War of the Worlds, narrated in a news bulletin format by Orson Welles, caused panic among thousands of listeners who believed that an actual Martian invasion was taking place in the United States.

Tanganyika Laughter Epidemic (1962): Starting in a mission-run boarding school for girls in modern-day Tanzania (then Tanganyika), a fit of laughter spread, affecting hundreds of people in the area for months and forcing schools to temporarily close.

June Bug Epidemic (1962): At a U.S. textile factory, 62 workers experienced symptoms like nausea and dizziness. Rumors of a bug infestation that caused the illness spread, but no evidence of such a bug or environmental cause was ever found; the incident was attributed to mass hysteria, likely fueled by stress and the power of suggestion.

The Satanic Panic (1980s): A widespread moral panic in the U.S. and other parts of the world was centered on the belief that groups were ritually abusing and exploiting children as part of Satanic cults. While there was virtually no evidence to support these claims, the panic led to numerous unproven accusations and trials.

Here are some examples of mass hysteria, aka mass psychogenic illness, in modern times.

Institutional child abuse. From Penn State, Catholic Church, Boy Scouts

MeToo accusations.

Pretending men are women, and vice versa.

Idolizing George Floyd and other Black criminals. There were even cops kneeling before Blacks.

Covid-19. The world shut down over what turned out to be a bad flu season.

After 9-11-2011, importing millions of Moslem and Arabs. What was the purpose of that?

DEI.

Indians took over many of our top tech companies. Who thought that was a good idea?

Talk of harm and safe spaces. Almost every day I see someone complain about some triviality, such as some minor political opinion, and argue that it causes real harm.

I am not sure if it is brilliant self-help lessons, or AI slop.

There are many dozens of videos, with new ones appearing every day. They appear to be entirely AI generated, but they are much more insightful than what I expect from AI.

If they are AI generated, I wonder about the training corpus. A lot of it might have been common sense in textbook psychology a few decades ago, but now it is politically incorrect and red-pilled. That is, they recognize psychological and behavior differences between men and women.

It would be alarming if an AI understands humans this well.

She has a good life, and I would think that she has nothing to complain about. But no, she has to make a public complaint to a couples psychotherapist about something extremely trivial.

The weird thing is that she is only famous for being Barack Obama's wife, and only admired to the extent that she supports her husband. I would think that a women in that position would do everything to make her husband look good. But no, she acts as if she resents him, and wants to lower his reputation.

How Somalis Invaded Minnesota

The NY Post reports:

This week, federal officials made an astounding announcement: Nearly half of all immigrants in greater Minneapolis were found to have committed some form of immigration fraud.

The fraud, uncovered in a September sweep, came in all kinds — sham marriages, fake death certificates and “other bizarre schemes,” as US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edley put it.

But the revelation was no great surprise to those of us who have followed the settlement of some 100,000 Somali immigrants in Minnesota over the past three decades.

As far back as 2008, the State Department temporarily suspended one of the family reunification programs used by Somali immigrants when DNA testing of applicants found that 80% of all its claimed family relationships were fake.

How many people were in on this scam?

Who ever approved sending Somalis to Minnesota in the first place? Why did anyone think that was a good idea?

Britain is Going Bust

The London Economist magazine reports:

Britain's net public debt has climbed from 35% of GDP in 2005 to 95% today. The government is borrowing over 4% of GDP annually despite no emergency comparable to the financial crisis or pandemic that drove much of the earlier increase. The belt-tightening needed to stabilize debt levels amounts to about 2% of GDP. The Labour government holds a 157-seat majority in Parliament and has four years until the next election.

Britain spends about 6% of GDP supporting pensioners, an increase of over a third this century. Some 15% of the working-age population now claims jobless allowances following a surge in disability claims since the pandemic. Labour attempted to reduce spending on pensioners and welfare this year but reversed both reform plans after political outcry from within the party.

This tracks Britain importing millions of non-whites.

Brexit does not seem to have mattered much directly. Many voted for Brexit in the hopes that it would slow the foreign invasion. Just the opposite. Importing low-IQ high-crime foreigners accelerated.

Freedoms are declining. Besides paying more taxes, Britains are routinely being jailed for expressing online opinions. Some have even been arrested for saying silent prayers.

Human Ancestors were Not Out of Africa

This New Scientist video argues that the theory about humans being out of Africa is false.

The new evidence is a Chinese skull that was previously thought to be Homo Erectus, but has been re-analyzed to be a million-year-old Denosivan. This is surprising because it was thought that Homo Sapiens, Neanderthals, and Denosivans only split 600k years ago. Now it is thought that they must have split more than a million years ago, maybe 1.3M years ago. That split is said to be form "Ancestor X", the presumed common ancestor.

The video is confusing in places, because it refers to Homo Sapiens as "us", but all three of those human groups are ancestors to today's non-African humans. Also, it is still thought that human ancestors left African 60k years ago, and interbred with Neanderthals and Denosivans.

Okay, but if this Denosivan lived in China, then maybe Ancestor X did also, and large brains could have evolved in Europe or Asia, not Africa. Then perhaps Ancestor X migrated to Africa, and descendants later migrated out.

There are missing pieces to this story, so it will probably get revised again.

BBC reports

The earliest known evidence for early Homo sapiens in Africa is 300,000 years ago, so it is tempting to conclude that our species might have evolved first in Asia.

It is also tempting to think that China artifically expanded the fossil skull to make it look like humans evolved in China.

This podcast claims that there are humans in Africa today that would be considered a different species, if humans were categorized by other animals.

You might wonder why anyone cares about this stuff. It seems to say something about what it means to be human.

New research conducted by the Centre for Migration Control has revealed that in 2024 foreign nationals accounted for between 28% and 34% of convictions for “sexual assault on a female” across England and Wales.

It also shows that foreign nationals accounted for a quarter of all “rape of a female over 16” convictions last year, despite them accounting for roughly just 10.9% of the population.

Pinker Denies Bitcoin Common Knowledge

Steve Pinker is suddenly everywhere, hyping his new book, When Everyone Knows That Everyone Knows...: Common Knowledge and the Mysteries of Money, Power, and Everyday Life.

He hits all the usual stories that everyone knows, such as the emporer with no clothes. He mentions how common knowledge leads to logic puzzles, as I predicted. But his attitude towards the bitcoin blockchain is curious.

The Bitcoin blockchain is the modern digital codification of common knowledge. Every ten minutes or so, the whole world has to reach a common understand of what transactions are being accepted. The blockchain is a protocol for doing that, and it is popular because it does not require a central bank or other authority.

No, Pinker does not see it that way. He says Bitcoin is a form of the "greater fool theory," which connects to other financial bubbles and manias. He argues there is no good reason to trust blockchain technology.

In short, Pinker's new book uses the frenzy around cryptocurrency as an illustration of his core concept, not a vindication of the technology. For Pinker and other critics, blockchain does not offer a novel, "trustless" form of common knowledge, but rather exploits human psychological tendencies to create a speculative bubble built on a deceptive premise.

This is surprising. He jumps on every other example of common knowledge, whether it supports his main points or not. And yet he eschews the biggest example of them all.

It is funny that he accepts that fiat money has value based on common knowledge, but not bitcoin. My guess is that he is more inclined to accept knowledge if it has the backing of human authorities, not computers.

Violence comes from the Left

Prof. John R. Lott writes:

On Sunday, at the memorial for Charlie Kirk — murdered by a leftist because of his political views — President Donald Trump declared “that violence comes mainly from the left.”

This is hotly disputed, and some leftists claim the opposite.

Not everyone agrees. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) countered with its latest annual report, claiming, “This is the third year in a row that right-wing extremists have been connected to all identified extremist-related killings.” According to the ADL, between 2022 and 2024, there were 34 so-called “right-wing extremist” murderers, with 23 of them (68 percent) white supremacists. They say their attacks took 61 lives.

Lott goes down the list, and finds as many left-wingers as right-wingers.

This is crazy paranoid. Those red-pill site are primarily concerned with studying human nature, and presenting facts and evidence. Firing Black Woman has Dire Repercussions

Cook's lawyers also make the argument that if the Supreme Court sides with Trump, it could have “dire repercussions” for financial markets while risking "chaos and disruption."

Really? Pres. Biden appointed Cook because she is a Black woman. She wrote some dopey academic on African colonialism, or some such nonsense, and had no banking expertise. Maybe Biden somehow confirmed that she would do what the Jews want.

The idea that our economy depends on the employment stability of an appointed Black woman banker is absurd.

The Federal Reserve Bank as a whole has been a big failure for a century. Academic research indicate the USA would have been better off without it.

The argument is often made that these bankers should be sheltered from public accountability. The best evidence for this is that Latin American dictators have sometimes used central banks to manipulate the money supply unfavorably. Yes, that's right, but I think the USA is better than that.

The other argument is that Jews have controlled the Federal Reserve Bank for the last few decades, and Jews are good with money if we do not watch them too closely. Jews have a reputation for moneylending that goes back centuries. Okay, I am sure Jews do make better bankers than Black women.

Trump's Secretary of the Treasury is not Jewish but he is gay. Maybe that is just as good.

It is funny to see Kamala Harris say in her book that she did not pick the previous gay cabinet secretary because he is gay, and then try to deny it:

Buttigieg “would have been an ideal partner — if I were a straight white man,” but he was “too big of a risk,” Harris continued.

Maddow, who is gay, pushed Harris to “elaborate,” adding: “To say that he couldn’t be on the ticket effectively because he was gay, it’s hard to hear.”

Harris quickly jumped in.

“No, no, no, that’s not what I said, that he couldn’t be on the ticket because he is gay,” the former vice president said as she shook her head.

“My point is, as I write in the book, is that I was clear that in 107 days, in one of the most hotly contested elections for president of the United States against someone like Donald Trump, who knows no floor — to be a black woman running for president of United States and as a vice presidential running mate a gay man, with the stakes being so high — it made me very sad. But I also realized it would be a real risk,” she continued.

The real problem with Buttigieg is not that he is gay, but that Blacks hate him.

New H-1B Visa Fees

The Trump administration last Friday announced a new $100,000 annual levy on H-1B visas, which allow 85,000 skilled foreign workers to enter the U.S. each year. The fee applies to companies hiring these workers, primarily in tech.

Moritz argues that Trump fundamentally misunderstands why tech companies hire foreign workers, saying it’s about skills and filling labor shortages, not replacing Americans or cutting costs. The policy will backfire, he warns, by pushing companies to relocate work to Istanbul, Warsaw, or Bangalore instead of keeping it stateside.

“Engineers with undergraduate degrees from the better eastern Europe, Turkish and Indian universities are every bit as well qualified as their American counterparts,” Moritz writes.

If the workers are so valuable, then employers shojld be willing to pay a market rate for them. Eg, the 85k visa could be auctioned off to the highest bidders.

Moritz reveals the weakness of his position, when he says the American and Turkish college grads are equally qualified.

Sore, they are similarly qualified if they have similar degrees. That is because the qualification is the degree. But that does not mean that they are equally valuable as workers. And it certainly does not mean that they are equally desirable as American workers.

American policy should be for the good of Americans. Why import a Turk if it puts an American out of a job when he could do the work just as well?

More Countries Recognize the War

At least 50 Palestinians were killed yesterday in Israeli strikes on Gaza and the war has overall killed more than 65,000 people, according to the enclave’s health ministry.

Are they trying to pressure Israel to kill more Palestinian Arabs?

I am not sure of the logic here. A nation is expected to defend its borders, and make decisions about war and peace. If West-Bank-Gaza is a nation, then it is a nation at war, and it has the responsibility to decide whether to keep fighting or surrender.

It seems to me that recognizing Palestine is functionally the same as saying, "Israel, keep bombing Gaza and the West Bank until they surrender."

Gaza is still holding hostages and refusing to surrender.

AI is Not yet a Bubble

Jews are Not the Enemy

Jared Taylor has been kicked off the major platforms for being a White nationalist, and he normally avoids the Jewish Question. He does not oppose the Jews, and has Jewish speakers at his conferences.

Big Fees for Foreign Workers

CNN reports:

President Donald Trump signed an executive action on Friday to impose a $100,000 application fee for H-1B visas — in an effort to curb what his administration says is overuse of the program.

“We need great workers, and this pretty much ensures that that’s what’s going to happen,” Trump said from the Oval Office, where officials detailed how the measure would incentivize companies to employ American workers while still providing a pathway to hire highly skilled foreign workers in specialized fields.

The proclamation will restrict entry under the program unless accompanied by the payment.

In a separate order, Trump also directed the creation of a “gold card” immigration pathway that he said would fast-track visas for certain immigrants in exchange for a hefty fee. The policy will expedite visas for foreigners who pay the US $1 million, while allowing a company to pay $2 million to speed up the process for a foreign worker that it sponsors.

This program is usually defended on the grounds that businesses desperately need foreign talent, and US workers cannot meet the demand. This is false, of course. The vast majority of these workers are brought in as cheap replacements for Americans.

If the companies have to pay big fees, it will show the demand.

Kimmel deserves to lose his TV Show

The press is complaining that the FCC pressured ABC tv to fire Kimmel for telling an anti-Trump joke, and this is a threat to free speech. Nope.

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

Kimmel was “defending what he said [as] being grossly mischaracterized by a certain group of people,” the show source says.

THR reported on Wednesday that Kimmel did not plan to apologize for his comments, but did plan to address the situation on-air.

Talks between Kimmel and Disney/ABC hit enough of a stalemate that executives there decided Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! had run out of time to be salvaged. The show’s live-to-tape time was not far off — the studio audience was lined up outside but had not yet been brought in. (Jimmy Kimmel Live! tapes live at 4 p.m. PT.)

By this point, 66 of the roughly 200 affiliate stations had said they would not carry the episode — that’s when ABC announced it was suspending the program — a Bob Iger and Dana Walden joint decision that was a “last resort,” the first person says. Walden delivered the news to Kimmel but did not ask him to apologize, says the source, who described Wednesday as “a very heavy, very hard day” inside the walls of Disney and ABC.

Kimmel did not tell a joke. He told a nasty anti-Kirk anti-Trump lie, and refused to correct it.

Kimmel broadcast a claim that maga Trump supporters killed Kirk. This is false. Someone who tells nasty lies like, and refuses to correct them, that should not be on the air.

Kimmel is not funny, and not entertaining. He disgusted a lot of people in the past, such as when he went on a rant about how the government should pay for his baby's health care, based on an entirely false argument about pre-existing conditions.

The real threat to free speech is how evil jerks like Kimmel demonize normies like Kirk, and encourage the shooting.

Kirk had a genuine following. It will be interesting to see if Kimmel loses his tv show, and he has a genuine following, then he should be able to prosper with Youtube shows or other new media channels. I doubt it.

I am not suggesting that Kimmel be canceled like Alex Jones. Both got into trouble for theorizing about a recent tragedy. The difference is that Kimmel's employer asked him to correct himself, and he refused. And Jones was ruined while Kimmel is still drawing a salary.

More Thoughts on Charlie Kirk

The Killing of Charlie Kirk continues to dominate the news.

The killer was a smart student, but a dumb criminal.

Utah has a reputation as a conservative state, but the Mormons have been corrupted by the transgender lobby.

The killer was brainwashed by propaganda that Kirk was an evil extremist. In fact he was a normie, with mainstream Christian Republican views.

The crime has exposed a lot of evil on the Left. Many are cheering his death.

Some are saying that Kirk was killed for expressing his free speech views. This is not correct. The killer was from a family with views not much different from Kirk's, and it is not clear that he had any violent opposition to those views. Instead he had been convinced by the Leftist press that Kirk was evil.

The killer is a mixed-up kid whose thinking may never be understood.

The real issue is how we have let the Leftist press demonize normies to the point where this book-smart kid thought that normies were evil. Or how he thought that roomming with a transgender furry lover was acceptable.

The kid was an adult, limiting the ability of his parents to help him. Maybe kids should not be adults until age 25.

All the talk of federal prosecutions is crazy.

She also claims the France President Macron's wife is transgender. That seems very unlikely to me, but there are many strange things about that marriage.

I see the NY Times had an article trashing Nick Fuentes as a young radical right-winger with a cult-like following online. Yes, but do not confuse Fuentes with Kirk. Fuentes does say some inflammatory things, and is anti-Trump. Kirk had mainstream normie views. Fuentes has been banned from Youtube, but here is a new interview, and you can judge for yourself. Dangerous Whites are Colorblind

She encouraged the audience to think in terms of race, and not the character of individual people, because all white people are racist to some degree, no matter what.

DiAngelo is a frequent guest speaker at campuses across the nation, coined the term “white fragility,” and recently wrote a book on the subject titled “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism.”

The world was going mad at that time. Do the race hustlers still say this?

Of course she is just saying what she is paid to say. And to accommodate Blacks who want free benefits.

New Questions about Kirk Assassination

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson was living with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning from male to female, a law enforcement source confirmed to The Post Saturday.

Kirk was shot while answering a question about transgender violence.

The Jewish defamation group ADL still has a page trashing Kirk, but now posts:

One of the most popular unfounded narratives promoted a “false flag” conspiracy theory, suggesting Israel or Jewish organizations colluded to have Kirk killed because he had supposedly become more critical of Israel, or that Israel suspected he would eventually “turn on them.” Since September 10, there have been over 10,000 posts on X that include the phrase, “Israel killed Charlie Kirk.”

Kirk had been very pro-Israel, but in the last month he expressed fear about how Israel would punish him for his criticisms. It was reported a month ago that Kirk thought Israel would kill him if he turns against Israel.

Maybe these are coincidences. Stay tuned.

She argues that non-whites should combine their grievances to get million dollar payoff for supposed injustices to remote ancestors.

The main gripes are:

1. Chinese were not allowed to become American citizens, a century ago.

2. Japanese aliens were relocated from the west coast, during WWII.

3. Some Filipino fought for the USA in WWII, but never got citizenship.

4. Hawaiians had native sovreignty in 1893, before becoming a USA territory.

None of these were wrongs, and even if they were, none deserve remedies. These grievance professors suffer some sort of White envy, or they are just grifters trying to get free money.

Glenn Greenwald calls out Ben Shapiro for saying Jews would not accept reparations. It turns out that Jews in Israel are aggressively demanding reparations all the time, and have collect $90 billion from Germany.

Harris Trashes Biden in Book

CNN reports:

“In retrospect,” Kamala Harris writes of letting Joe and Jill Biden decide on their own whether the then-president should have tried to run for re-election, “I think it was recklessness.”

That is the assessment that the former vice president makes in her forthcoming memoir of her abbreviated 2024 run, in a significant break from the dutiful stance she took toward her old boss throughout their time in office and since.

“‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized,” Harris writes in the first excerpt of “107 Days” published Wednesday morning by The Atlantic. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”

Part of the problem, Harris writes, was a Biden team so committed to not helping her that she says it ultimately came at his own, and the country’s expense.

“When polls indicated that I was getting more popular, the people around him didn’t like the contrast that was emerging,” Harris writes. “None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. That given the concerns about his age, my visible success as his vice president was vital. It would serve as a testament to his judgment in choosing me and reassurance that if something happened, the country was in good hands. My success was important for him.”

“His team,” Harris ends the chapter by writing, “didn’t get it.”

This is seriously delusional. She was never popular. People did not think she could do the job, if Biden died.

Nobody thought Biden had good judgment in picking Harris. It was a deal to win an endorsement for Black votes in S. Carolina.

If it was reckless for Biden to run, it was also reckless for her to support him, and then backstab him to steal the nomination from him.

I look back at all the supposed political leaders who supported Harris. They were either dishonest or hypnotized. We should disregard everything they say in the future.

RIP Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

In googling him, I find Jews calling him anti-semitic. This is bizarre, as he was very pro-Israel, and friendly to Jews.

He was Christian, and he was pro-America. Apparently many Leftist Jews hated him for that.

As I write this, the killer's motives are not known. I doubt that they have anything to do with Jewish issues. I am not trying to blame Jews for this. It could have been a Mormon for all I know. I am just trying to understand why he was controversial.

Update: 22-year-old Utah boy Tyler Robinson has been accused of the murder.

The NY Times has formally retracted an accusation that Kirk was antisemitic. It is a good example of the Jewish press attacking a Christian as antisemitic, when the obvious truth is directly the opposite.

Apocalyptic Visions of Demographic Replacement

It is a story that is being repeated all over the world, with two thirds of the global population now living in countries with below replacement level fertility. Low fertility rates have become a talking point on the political right, with Elon Musk claiming that population decline is an existential threat to the future of humanity. But for others, the timescales involved are too vast to start worrying about now. So how should we be thinking about population decline?

A lot of the people talking about low birth rates and worrying about not enough babies really means low birth rates for people they consider like them. Worried about the national identity of their countries, or even the racial makeup of their countries, and that's awful. Some of that is truly terrible.

No, it is not terrible for nations to be worried that they are being depopulated and replaced with foreigners having different national and racial identities. Nations should defend their people against being invaded and replaced.

Feminism has everything to do with the birth rates. It teaches that having babies should be entirely the choice of women, and that women can better fulfill their desires by having a career and forgoing babies. Birth rates always decline sharply when countries become more feminist.

And immigration also has everything to do with depopulation. In the USA, the population has increased entirely from immigration, and immigrant groups have the highest birth rates.

Wikipedia and others call this demographic change a conspiracy theory, there is no doubt that it is happening, and that it is driven by feminism, immigration, and differential ethnic fertility.

While ranking over a dozen options of scenarios on their importance to an individual's definition of personal success, male Donald Trump voters selected having children to be the most important, and female Kamala Harris voters ranked child-rearing as least important.

Only six percent of female Harris voters thought that having children was most important to them, while 34 percent of male Trump supporters said the same.

Yes, this is feminism and ideology at work. Throughout most of human history, women viewed having children as most important, not doing paperwork in a cubicle.

I thought that the Palestinian Arabs wanted independence and autonomy for the West Bank.

Not all of them. This is the "two-state" view. Many others want a "River to the Sea" solution where Arabs control the entire area, and Jews are either expelled or subordinated to Arabs.

I have wondered why the Palestinian Arabs have always rejected two-state proposals. It is because they would not have prosperity equal to the Jews in Israel.

Florida Drops Vaccine Mandates

Health authorities are upset that Florida dropped vaccine mandates, but other countries do also:

Countries like Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, and most of Scandinavia do not condition public school attendance on vaccination status. Japan – Vaccines are strongly promoted, but school entry is not denied for unvaccinated children. Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland – All Nordic countries besides Iceland follow voluntary vaccination policies for school entry. Switzerland – Vaccination is voluntary, and school entry does not depend on vaccine status.

Until about ten years ago, Californians could opt out of vaccines by just checking a box on a form, saying they had a philosophical objection. Vaccination rates were still quite high.

A couple of times there were measles outbreaks at Disneyland, but they were always from foreign tourists.

Supreme Court to reverse Same-sex Marriage

Axios reports:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton predicted that the Supreme Court will "do to gay marriage what they did to abortion" and send it back to states to decide.

That is not likely anytime soon. But in the long run, having the Supreme Court interfere in marriage law in this way is indefensible.

Marriage has had a crucial role in the development of civilization for thousands of years. When the Court mandated same-sex marriage in 2015, it ignored this, and reasoned instead about applying Civil War Reconstruction laws to getting a copy of an out-of-state AIDS-related death certificate. That got extrapolated to everyone, without considering what it would do to civilization.

You might say that the decision has been widely accepted, and it expressly gave dignity to personal choices and beliefs. Who could be against that?

Maybe, but I am not so sure.

Humanists Fully Endorse Transgenderism

I expect atheists and humanists to be anti-God and anti-religion, but it appears that they are more interested in promoting transgenderism. See Prof. Jerry Coynes comments here and here.

Update: Coyne notes that out of 17 atheist/humanist/freethought/secular/skeptic organizations, 16 are fully committed to pushing for LGBTQ+ rights as a fundamental stance in their fight against Christian nationalism, and one says:

CFI will continue to promote the separation of church and state, the rights of nonbelievers here and around the world, and the end of pseudoscience wherever it arises. And we strongly disagree with people or groups who think discussion is dangerous, biology is bigotry, and science is Christian nationalism in disguise.

That's right, transgenderism is bad for reasons that have nothing to do with religion.

It is funny to see the supposed freethinkers succumb to Leftist ideological groupthink contrary to modern science.

On the Need for Eugenics

David Skrbina writes:

Eugenics is one of those ideas that has come to acquire a negative reputation for all the wrong reasons. Under pressure from mainstream academics and writers since World War Two, and largely due to its association with National Socialism, the very concept of eugenics has been derided and defamed for decades. Today it is widely seen as misguided, racist, or as some downright evil social-programming scheme; but in fact, as I will argue, it is vital for our collective survival. ...

I claim that everyone, already, is a eugenicist—they just don’t use the term.

The term is certainly out of favor. Everyone will say he is against, saying that history has shown it leads to bad things, or something like that. Not really an argument.

As a rough outline, though, what might a contemporary eugenic program look like? We must work from first principles here, and I find four to be of central importance. First: No one has a ‘right’ to bear children. In a dysgenic world, childbearing is a privilege, not a right. ...

A second core principle relates to the notion of human equality: In no meaningful sense are all humans equal. People differ in every conceivable way: abilities, skills, interests, capabilities, intelligences, creativities, appearance, etc. ...

Third: Eugenics works best in ethnically homogenous societies. ...

Fourth: The best individuals have the highest obligation to the community—and vice versa.

I do not expect these arguments to persuade anyone. If he is right, then we will have a systematic decline in the gene pool until some drastic action is necessary.

The AI Bubble Gets Bigger

Some people say were are in an AI bubble, with many billions being invested with no clear monetary return. P. Greenspun estimates that if AI power consumption continues at its present rate, it will exceed the Sun's generation in 43 years.

Here is a new Stanford study:

First, we find substantial declines in employment for early-career workers in occupations most exposed to AI, such as software development and customer support.

• Second, we show that economy-wide employment continues to grow, but employment growth for young workers has been stagnant.

• Third, entry-level employment has declined in applications of AI that automate work, with muted effects for those that augment it.

It is worse in Canada:

Canada's tech job market has gone from boom to bust in a matter of years, a new study says.

Canada has been radically importing Third World workers, and now they are being replaced by AI.

I believe that AI really is transforming the economy, but mostly in ways that are difficult to measure. Millions of jobs will be replaced or eliminated.

Scientists Discover Silent Male Crickets

One of my favorites is the crickets of Hawaii. So field crickets are, are well-known for their loud chirping, which is a sexual signal, and so a lot of people have studied their sexual signaling to understand how that works in a sexually reproducing species. ...

So when the scientists finally started taking them a little bit more seriously, they noticed that these males engage in same-sex courtship and that they work together with chirping males to court females and that females often prefer paired males rather than solo males, for reasons that we’re still trying to understand.

This is supposed to prove that nonbinary sexual behavior is normal.

Trying to Use Google Passkeys

I expect Google to have decent login security, but it is a mess. Now it is going to passkeys, but it is not easy.

Passkeys were standardized in about 2018, so they are not new. Google explains them here, by a woman with a funny accent. I will be glad when I can substitute an AI voice.

Google has a online demo on that page, but the demo did not work on my Windows 11 machine.

The passkeys are essentially public key cryptography, where the private key is bound to a device like a phone, and can only be used to sign a challenge message from a particular server (like google.com or ebay.com), and for a particular username. When done right, the user does not have to bother with usernames or passwords, and gets a more secure login.

It does have the advantage that I will not be tricked into logging into a phishing site, and no one can intercept my password. That makes passkeys worthwhile to me.

But it is very confusing on Google. It is hard to tell what Google requires for a login. It can keep you logged in for months, so you think you are safe, but then suddenly ask for an extra factor. Instead of letting you choose among the factors you have configured, it asks what it thinks will be the most secure. Last week it asked me for a bluetooth token that I set up five years ago, and never got to work.

I can log into my Gmail account on Firefox with just my passkey, but curiously it does not work on Google Chrome, where I have to supply my username first.

You can put a credential on a usb token, but Google will query the token and decide what it wants to put there. If you have a token with multiple capabilities, it can be impossible to configure it for the capability you want. Google will decide on its own what to put on the token. You might be better off with a ten-year-old token, depending on what you want to do.

It is hard to keep track of the tokens with passkeys, as Google uses generic names like "Windows Hello" and "Security Key", even though it queries the type of computer and token. It does try to distinguish between "devices" and "security keys", without any obvious purpose. Sometimes a passkey is called a security key if it must be used with a password, so it is not really a passkey but a predecessor fido key, but sometimes a usb tokey with a genuine passkey is also called a security key.

Sometimes Google will create a passkey on its own. This is usually okay, but sometimes it creates the passkey under the control of the "Google Password Manager" for some other Google account, and it refuses to tell you what that other account is. It allows your passkey to float around in the cloud, which might be convenient, but it also defeats the purpose of binding a passkey to a device, and makes it nearly impossible to control use of credentials. I had to delete a passkey, because I could not figure out who was using it.

Apple, Microsoft, and many others are going to passkeys. Banks not so much. They are also confusing. I thought that this would have been sorted out five years ago. Maybe it wil take another five years.

Update: I ran into more problems with Google passkeys. If I try to edit my Google Wallet, after being logged into Gmail, then Google wants to confirm my identity. Fair enough. It asks for a "security key" and does not allow any of my other options, such as password, authenticator, SMS, etc. So I supply a usb security key with a passkey. And that is not good enough! It wants one particular passkey, and it will not tell me which. I have to keep guessing until it accepts one.

I don't know how I would pay for something on a trip, as I have no way of knowing what security key Google will ask for.

Part of the point of passkeys is that they are easily created and bound to a device. So I can have one at home, one at the office, one in the safe, one in my luggage, etc. But that assumes that Google is going to accept the one I have, or at least be predictable about what it needs. Most people are probably better off sticking to passwords, until Google and the other big tech companies make passkeys usable.
